A lovely clean hotel more suitable resort if you dont want nightclubs and noise to disturb you. The roof top pool is a great sun trap with great views of the sea and the resort and mountains. The staff were friendly beware you will get a telling to if you wearshorts if you go down for your evening meal.Good idea that you can use the other Htop hotel facilities, but you must book at your hotel 24hours if you want to eat in the other hotels and you must get a piece of paper to get onto the free bus ,one driver isnt so strick but the other seems to be a stickler for the rules and want let you on, We got a lovely room that looked out to sea but unfortunate for our other party the only got the view of the wall, the room was very dark,we tryed to get another room but was told the hotel had no more rooms ,we were meant to be at Callella Pallace but i think for our age group20-50 the Pineda Pallace was more suitable we went one day to Callella Pallace an found a lot of kids running in and out of the hotel with not a lot of adults keeping check .THE TRAINS FROM BARCELONA RUNS TILL AFTER I BUT BEWARE GOING FROM BLANES/SANTA SUZANNA IT RUNS ONLY TILL QUARTER TO IO. The hotel isnt far from the station and are easy to use but you may have to wait to get to Gerona. IF YOU GO ENJOY YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE HOTEL.

A pleasant stay in a cleanly decorated recently refurbished hotel. Part of a large group of hotels in the area, where you may on prior arrangement, eat in any one of the establishments. The food, on an all inclusive package is good, without being sensational! The only downside is the surlyness of the staff. They seem to be robotic and rouitinely abrupt with guests.A fellow guest had to complain and was granted a meeting with the hotel chain top brass, after one of the bar staff told him to [--] after he requested only one cube of ice in his drink!!
A little less complacency and a program of staff hospitality training seems the order of the day! This is a strange way to treat customers, given the problems the costa brava is currently facing, with some of the major tour operators not featuring them on their brochures, and having to seek custom through other sources.
Situated on the front a short distance from the beach, a mainline rail station is only 200 mts away. this proved handy, for trips to other nearby resorts, and the obligatory must see trip to Barcelona, which is only 45 mins away by train.

Food let down our holiday

We have just returned from Pinenda Palace, the good points were the lovely clean rooms, also the sauna area . The bad points are the food it was never hot, and it was always pork, chicken, if lucky sometimes it was fish.but it was always luke warm. The puddings were mostly, cold custard cold rice pudding, and a same sort of cake every mealtime which became very boring. . The snacks were a joke ,again always the same burgers, bacon, sometimes left overs it seemed from breakfast all luke warm. The butter is horrible it has no taste, the jam is horrible, my advice is to buy your own and put it in your fridge. When I read previous reviews I thought people were just moaning, but soon found out they are not. This is to the MANAGER please listen to what we are saying THE FOOD IS LUKE WARM ENGLISH PEOPLE LIKE THERE FOOD HOT.

we have just arived back from pineda palace hotel having been transfered from pineda park hotel. we have spent 3days with 3 other couples celebrating 2 40th birthdays. on arrival at the hotel check in was easy and the staff friendly as it was late our first taste of food was the late night snacks which were a choice of bread rolls with salad cheese ham or burgers hot dogs bacon and chips which was not too bad! there was plenty of choice in the restraunt for main meals, my only complaint would be cold plates but thats just being really picky! as we were all inc drinks were plenty and varied! we used the sauna and jacuzzi and thought the 24hr booking system was a great idea. the room was of a good size with a lovely clean bathroom. the walls were very thin and if the other guests were not considerate with noise levels i would imagine it would become a nuisance. as we were celebrating a birthday we ordered a cake through the hotel that was very reasonably priced and rafeal the head waiter was very helpful. we found all staff cheerful and helpful. we had to leave for our flight before breakfast and we were provided with a small picnic box containing bread cheese meats fruit and a bottle of water. overall we had a great time and being upgraded was the icing on the cake!
