One of the best in Hunan

One of the best hotels in Hunan I guess. I stayed in the 22nd Floor in the VIP Tower. Nice, clean rooms and excellente service. Not enough space for clothes though, but enough for business trips. Movie Channel, broadband internet access and a very nice bathroom for relaxiation. Swimming pool and gym are also accessible. The breakfast buffett is not that great, but you can get fresh fried eggs by a chinese chef at the table.
Expansive place!

We enjoyed our 8-day stay at Hua Tian

We stayed at Hua Tian while we adopted our daughter. We had booked a standard room but were disappointed to find that it had limited closet space and no drawers. The carpet was a bit run down too. Since we were required to spend 8 days in Changsha, and there would have been no room for a crib and our suitcases, we requested and readily received an upgrade to a junior suite. It was perfect, with two king sized beds, a couch, tv, plenty of shelf space for baby things, and work desk. We dined at nearly all of the restaurants, including the Japanese one, and enjoyed all of our meals. The Hua Tian room service was also quite good and service was speedy.
The business center has only two stations so internet access was limited to the early morning hours or dinner time, but we managed well enough.
The only troubling aspect for us could be labelled a cultural one. Businessmen routinely spit on the marble floors. We also noticed that spit was everywhere else we went in Changsha - carpeted stairs, restaurant floors and sidewalks.
In addition, the hotel is conveniently located near three good restaurants, one of which is around the corner near the Dolton, another down the street when you exit the hotel and turn left, and the other directly across the street. The hotel is also just a short walk from the Friendship and Apollo stores where everything you need - including groceries and wine - can be purchased.
Finally, the hotel is staffed with pleasant, professional employees, many of whom spoke enogh english to assist.
