My company frequently books rooms at the Madison Concourse for staff attending training in Madison. Many of my colleagues have taken advantage of the free drinks and other amenities in the Governor's Club rooms. I personally stayed in an average room and paid about $150 per night, all inclusive. The room was clean and well-maintained. Amenities were nice (but not anything spectacular), though I did miss having a microwave and refrigerator. I ordered room service every morning for breakfast, and received a delicious hot breakfast delivered by very friendly wait staff. Prices were very reasonable for room service, and delivery was prompt. Dinner was also very good, although I was disappointed by dinner at the upscale restaurant in the lobby. Although the building itself is older, the rooms were quiet and well-appointed. Free WiFi throughout the building was very helpful. Parking was adequate. The business center on the main floor was very nice and provided free use of the laser printers. The hotel itself is centrally located next to the capitol building with moderately easy access to freeways. I would not book this room for myself on a pleasure trip, but for business it served well.

Just got back from a conference from the hotel and the staff and Hotel accommidations was excellent. From the time you walk in the Hotel, your greeted with a friendly smile and great personalities from the registration staff. The Hotel has a lovely decor of long stem fresh cut flowers in glass vases that brought out the beauty of each flower throughout the lobby. Registration was a breeze, answered a couple of question and was done. I had a room on the 9th floor and a view of Lake Menadoka. The bed was very comfortable and I had a choice of nice smelling pillows. I had several excellent hot and cold meals at the Hotel all very well prepared and presented. Hotel staff was one of the best I have met. I have travelled lots of places and gone to a lot of conferences and I can honestly say this staff is the best at their profession. Help me with shopping directions, places to go, things to do in the evening, what time sites were open and closed, helped me with recieving and shipping items with FedEx. Had and chance to go to the lounge and hear some good jazz playing. If I get the chance to go to Madison again I would most definitely stay at this Hotel again. Great Staff, Great Hotel, and Great location to the Capital.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Madison Concourse Hotel on one of the floors in the Governor's Club. Our stay was excellent! My husband and I have stayed in many hotels including the Hyatt and the Four Seasons, and I have to say that our room at the Madison Concourse Hotel was very comparable. We especially found the free cocktails and breakfast in the Governor's Club lounge area to be enjoyable. The recently remodeled room had a large comfortable bed, and an awesome bathroom with a marble, tiled walk-in shower. Not only was the room excellent, but also the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, which made our stay complete. My husband and I are eager to return to Madison in order to stay with the Concourse Hotel again soon. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Here on business and expected a 5 star ambiance. Rooms are equate to a Holiday Inn and it is no where near a 5 star hotel. The curtains are dirty and this hotel need to upgrade their furniture, carpet and bathroom floors. Actually, they need to remodel the whole hotel and live by what they say they are (5 star). I would not choose this hotel again because I love nice, luxurious hotels and this was far from luxurious.
Also, someone was banging on my door trying to open the door saying they were room service.,,,interesting!!
I would rate it a 2.5 and that is being generous.

We spent three nights at the Concourse and enjoyed their wonderful service during our stay. From check-in to check-out, everyone was friendly, helpful, and incredibly professional.
Our room was good, but the location wasn't so great: right near the entrance to the pool and immediately across from the floor's ice machine. The door and frame didn't line up very well, meaning quite a bit of noise and light came into the room during the night. Other than that, the room was comfortably sized, very clean, and included free wireless internet.
We ate breakfast each morning in the restaurant, and the food was very good and quite reasonably priced. Parking in the underground ramp was a reasonable $7 per day.
All in all, a nice choice in downtown Madison.
