I stayed at the Hotel Arizona for one night and I almost missed my flight out because of them.
I called the front desk for a taxi to the airport 20 minutes before I checked out. I checked out at 8:00 and the taxi was to be there at 8:05. Nothing arrived despite my repeated requests for the front desk to call another cab company or something. Their taxi service kept saying they would be there "in a minute" but nothing came. At 8:25 I hailed a cab outside on the street and I was completely paniced. I only made my flight 5 minutes before takeoff.
There was no hot water in the shower either at night or in the morning and I mentioned it as I checked out. Later, when I called the manager to complain, he denied everything. I filed a complaint w/ Hotels.Com, my credit card, and against the taxi company.

After 3 trips to the front desk, I finally got a room that was "clean." Basically this meant the dirty towels had been picked up, and the beds were made. There was still trash in the trash can, but I was tired of the attitude at the front desk that I was inconveniencing them at 4 in the afternoon trying to check in. The beds were full sized, and were similar in shape to potholes. The hotel soap and shampoo smelled strange, and no conditioner to be found. Because I was on a three hour time difference, I tried to go to dinner at 5, but the restaurant staff was late and told me to come back about 5:30. The highlight of my two night stay was a snack shop that served Starbucks. Both nights I was kept awake by the sound of "hawgs" as this was the biker weekend, and the hotel was a rally point. I was offered free drinks and a tattoo in one of the ballrooms by one of the guests. This was much more than the front desk offered for my troubles.

I just returned from a stay at the Hotel Arizona. I was part of a conference located at the property and stayed there for convenience. After first arriving I was disappointed to see the hotel was dated and didn't seem to be at the same level as a typical Hilton or Marriott.
The room was subpar... the sheets were old and pilled and the bed was as hard as a rock. The towels were literally thread-bare. I didn't have an iron or ironing board... or a microwave or fridge. These items I consider to be basic requirements of any room. But I did find the room to be reasonably clean and in a good location for walking to various restaurants. I probably wouldn't stay here again.
