Stayed here as part of our land trip to Alaska. Upon arrival waited over an hour to be picked up at airport. Luggage dumped in parking lot for us to carry up the steps. Lobby is not clean and very worn. Long line for check in taking over 1/2 hour. Finally sent to room which was also in the well worn category. There is a complimentary shuttle which is a big joke. Everytime we wanted to go downtown (about a 20 min walk) the shuttle was busy. We were going to walk Tony Knowles trail and asked for directions at desk. They promised pick up at end of our walk and even wrote the number down. After walking the length of trial we called. They were unable to come. Again upon arrival from train part of trip they were no able to come for us. Told us to catch a cab. Very poor service.
There is an excellent resturant inside the hotel. Food very good and wonderful service.
I suggest you look else where for a place to stay.
Good Value; Free Shuttle

We stayed here our first and last day (being on a tour the rest of the time). The room was clean, had a coffee maker (no coffee in our room only tea), fridge, and sink. Nice view of the Cook Inlet from our 11th floor room. The windows only open about 6 inches (to eliminate jumping?) and when open the breeze made a weird howling noise from the hallway. When we went down for dinner at 5 p.m. (a 4 hour time difference for us) we were told it wasn't open (although their website says it opens at 5) so we ate in the bar. The burgers were very, very good. Had breakfast at the market across the street. Fabulous place for breakfast and to pick up a light lunch. On our last night, the elevator broke down so only one elevator for the entire hotel. The free airport shuttle was really helpful. They even offered it to us the day we left even though we had already checked out. They will even take you downtown. Overall not bad.

What a nightmare. Our group booked 4 single rooms. Two of us were assigned rooms already occupied by other guests. Second room assigned was filthy. In third room I was assigned someone walked in on me.
No ramp to use to wheel your luggage in.
This is an old apartment building converted in to a hotel.
Beds were old, AC did not work, overall property was very dirty and run down.
The management of this hotel should be ashamed to pass this hotel off as a boutique hotel that is clean and in good condition.
I would never stay at this hotel again...I'd rather camp in the rain.
Earlier in the week we stayed at Hilton Garden Inn in Achorage, which was much nicer.

Arriving as part of a Premier Escorted Coach Tour of Alaska more than 1/2 of all the rooms for our group were not yet ready at 8pm. We were given keys but the room had unmade beds and garbage all around. After reporting the condition of the room and going out for dinner, we returned to beds made with the same reused sheets. Yes, we had marked the sheets and they didn't even bother to change the pillow cases from the last occupant. Totally disgusting. After talking to management, we choice to leave the hotel and went to the Holiday Inn Express which was very clean.
The Premier Tour was amazing and Alaska is so beautiful with majestic mountains, fantastic glaciers and wonderful wildlife. Loved Alaska except for the horrible experience at the Inlet Tower Hotel.
