Hotel or should I say Motel, was disgusting. The pictures on the internet are either photo shopped or from when the hotel was 1st built. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, like the people screaming to open the door at 3am! The carpets throughout are all stained. The queen bed is really a double bed. The staff is extremely hard to get in touch with. It took about 5 calls from the airport to get them on the phone. The free breakfast is not worth anything. All it is is coffee and Cherrios. I was very disappointed with my stay there. The website is misleading. They took more time designing their website than they do taking care of the property!

Do not stay here!! We will not stay here again. When we checked in at around 4pm, we were given a room much lower class than what we had paid for. My husband went back up to the front desk to get the room they paid for, and they obliged (at least the service was good). The only differences in the rooms was that the beds were bigger (kind instead of full) and there was an alarm clock and coffee maker in this new room. The bathroom was very generic, it looked a bit creepy and was very small, but the toiletries seemed ok. The sink had no stopper and the toilet stank. There were no cups, we had to go to the lobby to get some. The carpet was filthy and looked like it had not had a good cleaning in 6 months, and there was dust everywhere. The windows in our new room would not close, my husband had to go outside to push the windows closed so they could be locked. There were 4 small windows and 2 big ones, 2 would not close from the inside and 1 was never opened because it didn't have a screen. Oh, and the windows were opened when we checked into the room. The bed felt like it was 20 years old, as the springs were poking me in the back while I was trying to sleep! The standing "closet" in the first room we were given looked like it had been purchased at an old garage sale or like it had been ripped straight from somebody's house (the wood was broken in places). I did not feel safe there, plus there were people walking around outside all hours of the night. It was also so close to the airport that every time a plane took off, we could hear it loud and clear. The good part was that the room was very large. Check out at 4am (we had to be at the airport) was easy, so that's a plus. For $200, I expected much better!!

This review is to give a "heads up" to other travelers and meant to help in your plans. The Long House Hotel in Anchorage is not a good experience because the rooms are horrible. We arrived around 8 PM and our reservations were not correct. The room was dirt i.e. mold on shower door, dirty carpets, dirty bathroom floor. The room looks like a cell instead of a hotel room. The blanket on the bed was in shreds and bedspread was in bad shape also. We asked for more towels and pillows and were told we could have them if they were available. No one ever contacted us. We complained upon leaving and were told that the person we needed to complain to was not there-we were never contacted. Please beware!

This is a basic economical hotel close to the Anchorage Airport (they have free shuttle if you need it). Our room was extra warm the night we stayed. We tried turning down the thermostat, which didn't help. We opened a window, but it took until morning for the room temperature to feel completely comfortable to us. Wireless internet was a plus and everything else worked ok. Continental breakfast was lacking variety -- just had choice of a few pastries and juice or milk.
