Booked 3 nights for the Chirstmas Market - hotel not near train or subway station like they say, no way to nagivate uphill, choppy
cobblestone streets to get there. Rooms are small, look like an
Ikea catalog and have no way to control the heat. First night husband used hotel hot tub - within a few hours his skin had
small rashy areas that spread to his chest and legs, the next day
it was a full body rash. Told hotel staff, first response was "this
is not our problem, it has never happened before". Were directed
to a pharmacy near the hotel - which SURPRISE! knew exactly
what it was and were he had gotten it. Took $34.00 in meds,
lots of self control and 3 days to clear. Hotel has you prepay then does not care - breakfast 1st day was nice and service good. Second day forget it, had to get own coffee, tables dirty.
On the 3rd day - no one clearing tables, sat in the bar to eat.
Hotel is a full three block walk to the Christmas market, it is on
hilly part of town, closer to Durer's House and the Castle. We did
contact the (owners)SORAT about the rash, since I am a nurse with a Master's degree I thought they might care about the health of their clients .. no response, no if you go their, be warned.

My sister and I stayed here for one night after disembarking from our wonderful Danube River Cruise in December 2007. I read about it on Trip Advisors and really wanted a great location close to the Christmas Mart and this was excellent not only because it was a very short walk, but, on a very very quiet street. The staff was very friendly and the room very comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast was just perfect. It is a bit more expensive than some other hotels in Nuremberg, but, you truly are paying for location and convenience. We did ask, however, for a non smoking room and we did smell smoke in our room, but, it was such a lovely room we just opened up the windows....beginning in January 2008, there will be a no smoking policy in any building in Germany which most Americans will be happy about.

Hated the window between the bathroom and the beds!!!!

My very new boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in this hotel after flying from the US.
Imagine our shock and dismay when entering the room and seeing a large window, albeit with patterned glass, right in front of the toilet facing into the room!!!
It really was awkward and embarassing to be seated on the toilet and see the other person, even in shadow.
I would not turn on the bathroom light even when taking a shower.
Maybe the hotel had other good features, but I was too crestfallen to notice.
Nice and clean hotel

Hotel was nice and clean. Nice and comfortable lobby with free internet access. The breakfast was fresh and fantastic and the staff were helpful.
Our room was basic but that was OK, The fitness /steam/sauna room was a typical US standard facility which is usually difficult to find in Europe. Nice to use after a long day in the town.
The hotel is on a side street above the town. There is a short steep climb up a hill to get to the hotel. From the train station , definitely take the taxi , it would be easier since difficult to find.
I found a good deal using Nuremberg Convention and Tourist Office website . They post alot of hotel specials throughout the year and for special events, such as the famous xmas market. Good rates . The tourist office gives you a nice welcome package and a gingerbread souvenir. Very good deal thru them.

This hotel is member of the SORAT and should therefore be of some quality. However, the best to say about this hotel is that it is rather dow town, but there are some things that make this hotel non recommendable. First of all, we didn't get the price we had agreed for the two nights we stayed. Arguing over this with the management was hopeless and they refused to contact the woman with whom we had booked. Moreover, the Agnesgasse in which this hotel is situated is rather noisy and leaving the windows open during night is therefore impossible. Rooms are clean, room service non existing and the breakfast buffet rather poor.
