Good location, near a metro (Rathaus). We had a clean room, clean toilette and daily change of towels, comfortable bed, in a quiet and safe area, excellent staff, and adequate breakfast. Yes we had all of these, at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for?

Hotel Alpha is very well situated for tourists visiting Vienna. The underground (U2) station is less than two blocks away and the Rathus, Parliament, Hofburg Palace and Inner Stad are all within easy walking distance. Two small grocery stores, multiple restaurants and bakeries are located just outside the hotel as well. The hotel is very modern, with spacious rooms and they serve an an excellent breakfast. The staff are very friendly, are fluent in english and are very willing to help traveller's plan their visit. The only only thing to be warned about is that the street the hotel is located on is very narrow and thus you can easily miss the hotel while searching for it. Overall a wonderful stay!

We stayed at the Alpha Hotel from Dec 21-25th and it was a great location for the Town hall Christmas Market. It is located on a quiet side street but only a few minutes walk from Tram 19 and Metro station Rathaus. It is so unassuming from the outside that we walked by it twice before noticing it. The rooms were very nice and roomy for this class of Hotel and the bed (double) was nice a big. The Christmas chocolate on our pillow on Christmas eve was a nice touch The breakfast buffet was fresh, plentiful (hot food was hot, cold was cold), and the breakfast room was very pleasant. The complimentary Coffee/Tea by the cozy sitting area was a nice extra that I don’t see very often in Europe. It was most welcomed as we came in each afternoon from a cold day out seeing the city. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting who does not like to be in the noisy center of the city. Also lots of very good restaurants walking distance from the hotel.

Excellent find - great location, near underground station, walking distance to Christmas markets, lots of tourist sights and restaurants. The street was quiet at night and we could sleep with the window open without being disturbed.
The outside of the building does not look anything special, but inside, the room is modern, comfortable and clean, with a good size bathroom with a good shower and lots of hot water. There was a gap under the bedroom door which we blocked off to keep the smell of smoke out, probably from another floor as the room was next to the stairs/lift.
Breakfast was good - coffee/tea/juice, ham, sausage, egg, bread, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cake. Complimentary tea and coffee was also available all day in the reception area which is next to the breakfast room and large enough to accommodate some couches/seats. The staff were all very helpful. The location meant we could easily make the most of the final day in Vienna, leaving the luggage at the hotel until it was time to go to the airport that evening.
We arrived at Bratislava airport and got the Terravision coach to Vienna, then the underground to near to the hotel which was a few minutes walk up the road. I'd happily stay again, and unless you are looking for a large plush 5* chain hotel, I'd recommend this as a comfortable and great value hotel for a capital city, with an ideal location for sightseeing.
