Abbiamo alloggiato per quattro notti all'Hotel Piazza nell'agosto del 2006. L'albergo è situato all'interno d'un bel giardino che da direttamente sul mare. Ha una grande piscina di fronte al mare. Alcune delle sedie a sdraio attorno alla piscina hanno bisogno d'essere rimpiazzate, e sarebbe meglio se non ci fosse la musica. C'è un accesso privato al mare, ma gli scogli sono molto scivolosi ed è difficile arrivarci. La camera era semplice e piccola (al principio avevamo una camera con vista del mare, poi ci siamo trasferiti in una che dava sul giardino: erano più o meno equivalenti in confort, ma la camera con vista mare era situata al pian terreno, non c'era privacy ed era rumorosa essendo vicino al ristorante.) Il bagno era estremamente piccolo e semplice, più come si può trovare in un albergo 1 o 2 stelle, e veniva inondato d'acqua quando usavamo la doccia. La prima colazione buffet era di qualità media: niente di cotto, e le paste dolci erano prodotti commerciali surgelati. L'albergo è ben ubicato proprio in centro, ma non molto vicino ai locali notturni del porto, e perciò tranquillo. Abbiamo mangiato una volta al ristorante dell'albergo e siamo rimasti delusi dalla pasta troppo salata. Uno di noi è stato male la mattina dopo. Il servizio era eccellente. Il personale era molto disponibile, cordiale, gentile e gestito da un manager efficiente. Dato che la regola generale a Panarea è che si paga il prezzo d'un albergo 4 stelle per il confort d'un albergo 2 stelle, consigliamo quest'albergo per il servizio eccellente, la sua buona ubicazione e la piscina.

We stayed four nights at the Hotel Piazza in August 2006. The hotel is situated within a very nice garden, right over the sea. It has a good-sized swimming pool facing the sea. Some of the long chairs around the swimming pool need to be reemplaced and it would be better without music. There is a private access to the sea but the rocks are very slippy and it is difficult to access it. The room was simple and small (at first, we were in a sea-view room and then switched to a garden-view room: both were more or less equivalent in comfort but the sea-view room, located on the ground floor, lacked privacy and was noisy because next to the restaurant). The bathroom was ridiculously small and simple, more of a 1-2 stars standard. It used to get totally flooded after using the shower. Buffet breakfast was average: no cooked dish, pastries were frozen all products industrial. The hotel is well located right in the center but not too close to the port’s night-clubs so it is quiet. We tried the hotel restaurant once and were disappointed by the over-salted pastas; one of us was sick the following morning. The service was excellent. Staff was very helpful, friendly, polite and supervised by an efficient manager. Given the fact that the general rule in Panarea is that you pay the price of a four star hotel for the comfort of a 2 star hotel, we would recommend this hotel for its outstanding service, its good location and its swimming pool.

Wir waren im August 2006 für vier Nächte im Hotel Piazza. Das Hotel liegt in einem sehr schönen Garten, direkt über dem Meer. Es gibt dort einen recht großen Swimmingpool zum Meer raus. Einige der Liegestühle am Pool hätten ausgetauscht gehört und ohne die Musik dort wäre es auch angenehmer gewesen. Es gibt dort einen privaten Zugang zum Meer, aber die Felsen waren sehr glitschig und es war nicht einfach dorthin zu kommen. Das Zimmer war schlicht eingerichtet und klein (wir hatten erst ein Zimmer mit Meerblick, dann eines zum Garten raus – beide waren mehr oder weniger gleich komfortabel, aber in dem mit Meerblick, das sich im Erdgeschoss befand, hatte man kaum Privatsphäre und es war laut, da sich nebenan das Restaurant befand). Das Bad war lächerlich klein und schlicht, hatte eher 1- oder 2-Sterne-Standard. Nach dem Duschen stand es auch immer unter Wasser. Das Frühstücksbüfett war durchschnittlich: Es gab keine warmen Speisen, die Backwaren waren Tiefkühlprodukte. Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage im Zentrum, aber noch recht weit von den Nachtclubs am Hafen entfernt, es war also ruhig. Wir haben einmal im Hotelrestaurant gegessen und waren von den versalzten Nudeln enttäuscht. Einer von uns war am nächsten Morgen auch krank. Der Service war exzellent. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich, höflich und ihr Vorgesetzter dort war auch sehr tüchtig. Wenn man zur Grundlage nimmt, dass man in Panarea den Preis für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel zahlt, um den Komfort eines 4-Sterne-Hotels zu bekommen, dann können wir das Hotel für den ausgezeichneten Service, die gute Lage und den Swimmingpool empfehlen.
