we came across journey's end site when we were looking on the main webpage for ambergris caye. it looked great from the site and although we had a great time........it was a bit pricey for what you get....the rooms are tiny and the air conditioning does not work. it was pretty hot when we were and a big tropical storm had just come through which left some mosquitoes. The beach was well maintained and the water was very pretty in front of the property. the restaurant, Luna is outrageous in price! The surrounding restaurants were priced the same if not less and were amazing dining experiences. A word of advice for anyone heading towards Journey's End.......wear bugspray in the evenings, bring a rain jacket (just in case) and stock on up on groceries at mata grande grocery store about a 10 minute walk north. the staff doesn't really talk about the store but it's totally worth the walk considering it's about $5 cheaper for a beer there than at the resort.........other great places to eat were rojo lounge and capricorn. overall we would go back but just would not stay at that particular resort. we'd probably rent a villa in the area because we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the relative ease of booking great snorkel and dive trips.

Journey's End has one of the nicest beach's on Ambergrise Caye, exceptional dining and located only a short boat ride from San Pedro.
We looked at (5) other resorts in person before walking in and booking Journey's End. The landscaping is exceptional, they have full dive shop, snorkle gear, sailboats and kayaks to use.
What impressed us was the waite staff, their kindness and knowledge of the area. The staff goes out of their way to assist you. The restaurante La Luna, was exceptional with a revolving menue and great chef.
If you stay, choose one of the beach front huts, #101 to 109 is best. They also have a second row of huts, closer to the pool. I love the decore at Journey's End, with the thatched roofs on the restaurants, pier hut and others on the property. The resort also has good security, so that you will always feel safe while being their guest.
