We stopped here on our way through town. This hotel is clean. I am a clean freak and this hotel doesn't make my skin crawl. It's not a 5 star, but I would stay here again.

I was not impressed at all with Crown Plaza. My friend missed my brothers wedding due to the poor valet and loosing the his keys. (they left them in the car unlocked!) My husband waited 30 minutes to get valet and when we checked out, we waited 45 minutes to get our car out. I even asked to get my own car, but it was too far and they did not exactly know where it was at. Then my brother when he checked out, they lost his keys, but eventually found them. They wrote on the keys yellow Jeep but it was a blue forester. (Big difference!) Not only the valet was poor, but when I checked in, I asked for 2 beds, (which was what I booked on file) and they gave me a single bed. For the price you pay to stay for one night, your stay should be over and above and I would never stay there again. I have had better stays at Holiday Inn Expresses!

Stayed here for a wedding recently. The place is under renovation or construction. Normally not a huge deal if the place is managed well, but this place hardly seemed ready for guests. For starters, the front entrance, and valet/parking is a cluster F...The valets seemed like nice guys but the place was a mess of cars and no where to move em. We got checked in relatively easy, but when entering our room it was hotter than it was out side (about 90F outside, felt like about 100F inside). The thermostat was electronic but had no power. There was also some other electrical work left unfinished. Since the AC was broken the four of us had to get ready in a stuffy hot room in time to make it to the wedding, and were sweating by the time we left. We were assured someone would look at it. That didnt happen. After the wedding we went back to the hotel to switch our room. They were accomodating and assured us the AC would work in this room. Well part of that was true. It worked.....just not very well. The fan came on but barely anything came out of the vent. After the reception we came back to...again...a very hot room. No one slept very well. So the hangovers the next day were much worse when its hot and sticky in the room. For 140/nt with tax.....I agree with the previous writer.....this was a place with amenities and service you'd expect at a 40/nt place. In fact we would have rather have been there if they had AC. We brought it to the front desks attention and they just didnt seem too concerned about it and blamed it on the construction. WE found other wedding guests had the exact same experience. If your hotel isnt ready, then dont open it!!! And especially dont charge me 140 for a night in a broke-aR$$ sardine can of a room and act like its a privelege to stay there. I am okay with parting with the money if it lives up to its expectations. But this place IS NOT worth the stay!!

II had the displeasure of staying at the hotel last weekend, Sat. May, 17-18, 2008. First off, the parking situation is ridiculous. I parked where I was told to park- in the city garage. The next morning I tried to pay and the machine would not give me change. The staff took no interest or responsibility. I cannot believe that there is not some protocol in place where the hotel could not reimburse an out of town guest and then get the money from the city themselves. Now I have to fax my receipt to the city and deal with the situation from Akron. If this had been the only problem with the weekend, I would not be so bothered; however it was just the straw that broke the camels back. The hotel is not ready to have guests. First off, the pool situation. We had a team of kids, and the pool was not open. Okay, not the end of the world. We got stuck on the middle elevator, and could not get the door to open, when it did we were between floors, then the elevator would not go beyond floor 7(under construction)-we were staying on 8, so we thought we would take the stairs. The construction crew told us that was not a good idea-the stairwell was blocked. The room temperature was not adjustable, it was very hot, and the air conditioning did not work. There was no hot water-not Sat. evening when my daughter who had played soccer all day tried to shower, and not at 6 am Sunday morning when I tried to get a shower. Lastly, a single granola bar left in the room does not constitute a continental breakfast, which we were told we would receive. All in all it appears that this will bea very nice hotel when they are ready to be open to the public, but at this time, I feel taken advantage of.

I'm writing this as I sit in my dingy hotel room, had to get this down before the bad mood calms down. I booked this for business so I didn't do the research I normally do through this site. The hotel is in major construction, there are multiple hammers banging in the background as I write this. There is no room service and no real breakfast. They have some alternate room set up with bagels and cereal set aside that they charge you seven bucks for. Found a long woman's dark hair on my bed when I got here. This hotel feels like a cheap dive hotel. I can't get the room to cool off, the heat only does heat so I had to turn it off and it's still boiling in here. I have no idea when this will be done, the signs say March 2008 (it's March 18th right now and there's no way they're done soon). Do not stay here. Do not stay here. Do Not stay here. Got it?
