The hotel has large comfortable lobby. The hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. Our reservation for a Standard NS King was completely in order and we were allowed to check in 3 hours early. The room was large and very clean with a comfortable king size bed, a comfortable arm chair, a TV and small fridge. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but was very clean. Heating and cooling is provided by a wall type unit under the window that provides for two levels of heat, cool or fan only. July in Tucson requires that the unit be on low cool all night long which can be a problem for a light sleeper or anyone sensitive to noise. Having said that, street noise (if there was any) was completely masked by the sound of the AC unit. Breakfast included in the room price consisted of a choice of cereal, toast, pastry, fresh apples, coffee, and prepared fluffed egged shaped like pancakes and very tasty link sausage.

Perfect location, just a couple miles away from Hi Corbett Field.
I agree with almost all the favorable reviews about this place. Front desk staff was friendly and great with suggestions and directions, nice pool, it was great to have a fridge and to be able to use their computer.
I thought the free breakfast was mediocre, at best. Some of the other reviews said that meat is served...they don't do that anymore. But it was free....and they always had toast and peanut butter.
I do have a helpful suggestion if you are renting a car and want to save a few bucks. I took the Arizona Stagecoach to and from the airport ($38 round trip) to this hotel. I rented a car from Enterprise, only 5 min. from the hotel, and at a significantly cheaper rate than I could get at the Tucson airport. They picked me up at the hotel and brought me back . This is a very convenient option.

My boyfriend and I came to Tucson for 3 days to see some spring training games at Tucson Electric Park. When searching for hotels, we found the Randolph Park Hotel on Expedia's winter sale for 79.50 per night...so we booked it. After reading mixed reviews, we weren't sure what to expect, but we wound up having a very pleasant stay.
This is a dated hotel and you can tell that as you drive up to it. We arrived at 10am and our room was not reading, but the front desk offered to store our bags in their office and directed us to a bathroom where we could freshen up. The lobby is small but cute. They have a bunch of brochures for area attractions. The cafeteria where the free breakfast is held is off the lobby as well. We returned around 4pm to check in, which was quick and easy. We received our keys and breakfast tickets and proceeded to our room, which was very spacious. The hallways are a little dark and had kind of an odd smell, but the room itself was just fine. There is a minifridge and a microwave which came in handy for us. There was a spacious closet which stored an iron, but we found no ironing board anywhere in the room. The bathroom was average sized, but the tub faucet constantly dripped. It was a little annoying but not the end of the world. The bed was very comfortable!
The location of the hotel was great. It is located on a busy street, but is very close to many of the top Tucson attractions, including both spring training fields (tucson electric and hi-corbett) and the reid park zoo. Our drive to Tucson Electric took about 10 minutes and was very simple. Front desk was super helpful with directions! Also, right around the hotel are a lot of great amenities, including a ton of restaurants and stores (walgreens, grocery stores, gas stations) There is a restaurant across the street that is reasonably priced and had good food. The best thing we found near the hotel was the DeAnza drive in movie theater! For 6 dollars you can see a movie...we saw Semi-Pro! The front desk gave us show time information..it was awesome!
We also ordered pizza one night from Magpies, which was VERY GOOD and reasonably priced. They deliver right to your door!
Other random notes: The free breakfast was decent. They always had cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. Each day they had 2 "hot" options: one day was eggs and pancakes, the other day was eggs and biscuits. Eggs were good and so were the pancakes, but we did not enjoy the biscuits. line was long around 9am..so arrive early and allow enough time, especially if you have a big party! make sure you bring the breakfast ticket you got at check in because they do mark it each day. The free business center computer and printer was great..ask the front desk for the password. Unfortunately it was broken down the last day of our trip so we couldnt print our boarding passes, which was quite annoying. But we enjoyed it the first 2 days. Parking is free and we had no problem finding a spot in the lot. The pool courtyard is very pretty but the water is cold.
Overall we were happy with our choice of hotel. There were some cons (dated looking, faucet constantly running, no ironing board, computer broke, long line at breakfast), however there were many pros (spacious room, cheap rate, free parking, helpful front desk, great location). This is a great hotel for the budget-conscious traveler looking for a great location in Tucson. We plan on returning to spring training in the future and we would more than likely look into booking at the Randolph Park for a similar rate.

An excellent value, the Randolph Park Hotel is centrally located in Tuscon, very close to: Colorado Rockies Hi Corbet Field (baseball)
Randolph Park (two 18 hole golf courses)
Reid Park Zoo
This hotel is a mature property, but well-maintained with new-ish furnishings, carpet, drapes, linens. The grounds are lovely and the buildings attractive. The rooms are roomy, and have mini-fridge, microwave, table & chairs, large closet and plenty of dresser drawer space. Each room has a nice patio.
They have a beautiful courtyard with a fabulous outdoor pool and hot-tub. There is also an exercise room with a few machines, treadmill and exercise bike.
Every morning they have a wonderful breakfast (free for guests) which includes a different pair of hot choices each day (scrambled eggs and sausage, pancakes and bacon, mini-omeletes and hash browns, etc.), and always fruit and yogurt, cold cereal, fresh fruit, muffins and rolls, toast, juices, coffee and tea. The food was EXCELLENT, and served in a spacious room with plenty of tables.
The lobby is warm and welcoming, and the staff are helpful with information about restaurant s and area attractions. They have a good supply of maps and brochures.
The hotel has free wireless internet and cable TV with HBO.

Booked a room here because it was a good price for winter in Tucson where the prices are elevated when the "snow birds" arrive. I did't have high expectations and was therefore pleasantly surprised. The room was very large and extremely clean and had apparently been updated fairly recently. The halls are dark and dingy and the bathroom door needed to be replaced, but everthing else was very satisfactory.
