We stayed in the Hotel Devin over the New Year's weekend. We booked the hotel through Lastminute.com and got a great price. Having read reviews on trip advisor we requested a room with a Danube view. Our twin room was spacious and provided everything we needed. The beds were very low, narrow and hard but actually not as uncomfortable as they looked. The room had plenty of storage space and the room and bathroom were clean. Our airconditioning/heating would not turn off and we couldn't figure out how to work the safe - but other than that everying else was fine. Breakfast was included, it was OK but not worth getting up for if you have had a late night. The bar is nice, very quiet but good if you want a quick drink and bite to eat. The location of the Devin is perfect, about a 30 second walk to the city centre. Bratislava is a great place to visit for a couple of days. Interesting place to walk around and stop for coffees, drinks etc. Everything is great value.

We stayed at this Hotel with a Tour Group. Our overall experience was positive. Location is great, right next to Old Town Area with lots of shops, pubs & restaurants. We had a great view of the Danube from our room. Breakfast was good, normal range of western style goodies, eggs, bacon, sausage, rolls, meats, cheeses, etc. Good coffee. Front desk staff were very courteous. Only negative was that our air conditioning and safe did not work well. We had to keep sliding the door open to get air but it was kind of noisy at night from the traffic below. Tiny balcony that you can peek your head out. We had pizza and beer for lunch at 17 Bar. Very good, cost about $8.00 US. Great people watching restaurant, maybe just a couple blocks from the hotel right before you enter the main shopping drag. Next door is a great little ice cream parlor. 2 cones of 2 scoops each was less than $2.00 US. Another good tip is the Botel across from the Hotel on the River. Great place to have some cocktails and listen to some live music. You can also order food. We went there a couple of times in the evening. We always like to visit the Irish Pubs in town but I have to say that the Dubliner Irish Pub was not too impressive, plus it was kind of expensive. $10.00 US for 2 medium pints of Guinness. I would stay at this Hotel again. We really loved Bratislava.

Für das preislich sehr im obersten Segment angesiedelte Hotel Devin spricht die zentrale Lage, die saubere Zimmerausstattung, das edle Bad, das hervorragende Frühstücksbuffet, das ausnahmslos freundliche und polyglotte Personal. Was allerdings dem Hotel fehlt, ist so etwas wie eine persönliche Note.
