Best value! We paid $89 per night (weekend rate) through Orbitz and were very pleasantly surrpised! We had a 1 bedroom apartment with separate living, ktichen, bedroom, bathroom. It was fully stocked with all the kitchen utensils etc you would need for 4 people, televisions in the living room and bedroom, free wireless internet etc. There were always 2 people at the front desk at all hours of the day and they were very nice and happy to help. Our only complaint would be the decor was dated (but still clean). Anyway, we loved it - would definitely stay there again.

Having carefully read TA reviews and having done some price comparisons, I booked this hotel for a one-night stay in Calgary. I liked it and would be happy to stay there again.
Upsides: the price (CAD $143 for a one-bedroom suite in peak season), the apartment layout (loved having a kitchen, dinette, bedrooom, living room), the view (I was on the 23rd floor facing north - it was spectacular), the staff (pleasant and helpful), the location (close to everything).
Downsides: the parkade entrance (you have to know which of three ramps to choose, with traffic backing up behind you, and it's badly signed. I ended up having to drive around 2 blocks again in rush hour to take another run at it), the age of the suites (walls a bit dinged and tired looking, a loose tile in the bathroom, drapes looking faded), the heating system (room was too hot, thermostat gave no control).
On balance, a good experience, and good value for the price in comparison to other downtown hotels.

This is an old and tired hotel that's slowly being brought into the 21st century. Too slowly. Some things have been renovated: the lobby, the business centre, and some other public areas. The rooms, though, have been left virtually untouched since the 80s. The decor is old and ugly, the carpet is ancient, the lamps provide poor lighting and are badly placed, the bathroom is small and hasn't been renovated in at least a generation, the kitchen appliances date back probably 20 years, the AC unit was almost directly above the bed and made a gurgling noise when it was turned off.
Oh, and three ancient elevators are not enough to serve 20+ floors of rooms. At least one of the elevator doors made a funny knocking sound. And every day they seemed to be working on one elevator or another.
On the positive side, the bed felt new and was quite comfortable. And there's wireless internet in all the rooms.
Service was pretty good. Maintenance came to fix the AC within 5 minutes of my call. The toilet flushing mechanism broke as I was going to bed one night, and had been fixed when I came back to the room the next evening.
Breakfast prices are extortionate (pretty typical for downtown hotels), and there only nearby alternatives are Tim Horton's and Starbucks.
Would I stay here again? I suppose it depends on the price, but I'd prefer not to.

Checked in, was placed on the 27th floor. I brought some breakfast items with me for a more speedy departure the next morning assuming that it would have a fully stocked kitchen. Got in the suite, was a little dated. The toilet was rocking and seperated from the floor. There was absolutely no kitchen items (utensils, pots, plates, etc.) to cook with and there was no coffee mugs to go with the coffee maker so I had to drink coffee from the glasses, despite them having all the appliances (stove, microwave
