The Brock Plaza is an older property and it is showing some age. The hotel will become a Crowne Plaza property in the spring of '08 but there needs to be a number of repairs, fixes and tweeks before it will meet the CP standard. The falls view room on the 7th floor was OK but with only one lamp in the room it meant no reading in bed. The bathroom had been redone but the plumbing still needs work as the tub and sink both took a long time to drain. They were working on the hallways. Trim painting had been completed the day we stayed. Walls still needed some work and hall carpets will need to be replaced.
Reception area was in good condition (the renovations are supposedly completed). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is part of a complex of 3 hotels, a large waterpark, a number of shops and 3 "destination" restaurants.
If planning to book, look for special deals on the internet. Book them thru the internet if you are comfortable with this or contact the hotel directly and negotiate the same deal. They seem flexible and able to match prices.

Very friendly staff from front desk to maid service and value priced
Lots of indoor parking and indoor walk way to casino.
Free newspaper
One of the few hotels that still have a noon checkout time was the main reason for picking the Brock hotel over Fallsview casino hotel.

Stayed for two days at The Brock Plaza in Niagara Falls.
Pros- The location can't be beat. Connected to the older casino, and right across the street from the falls. Our room had a falls view which was sweet. Lots of eateries, bars and shops within walking distance. Staff was very friendly. Lobby was beautiful and beds were very comfortable. Room was reasonably priced via Priceline for $55 plus tax and fees, which worked out to around $70 or so...
Cons- Rooms are extremely tiny. Very very small. I would not recommend this Hotel for anyone with kids. You will just be way too cramped, and there are much better options like the Skyline Inn for families.12 bucks a night for parking stinks too. The hotel is very old, and has plumbing issues. Every time someone in one of the rooms next to us would take a shower, our toilet would bubble, and several flushes were needed to get everything down. They are doing a lot of renovating, and that is obvious. Elevator buttons don't work, light fixtures are missing, and so on. Also, when we arrived there was an old room service tray full of food sitting on the floor in the hall by the door of the next room..When we left, it was still there. Yuck
Overall, I think there are better options in Niagara Falls.

What a gorgeous hotel! This hotel has so much character!
It's perfectly located on Falls Avenue opposite American Falls and Rainbow Bridge, right next door is the Casino. The lobby is stunning, with the crystal chandeliers and grand piano. You will feel like you have stepped back in time. Marylin Monroe and Royalty have stayed in this hotel over the years.
We walked into our room and it was beautiful, roses and an amazing view of the falls, we were so excited. I would definately go back to this hotel!

My family and I decided to go on a small trip to Niagara Falls. We had booked the stay at The Brock about a week in advance. When we arrived after a long trip from New York, we were not pleased with what was handed to us on a silver platter. The staff, and bellman were very friendly and accommodating, which is the nice part, but they completely got our room # wrong! We had asked to be on the third floor, but were put on a smoking floor!!! When we arrived at our room on the smoking floor, the transition to the third floor, took a bit too long! Our lungs and noses in smokey and putrid air. We got to stay on the third floor, and the rest of the stay was fine. My wife and I were pleased! We had bought the water park package , and the kids enjoyed the slides!! That was the only swell part of our trip. Dinner at the hotel, was not very good at all. The eggs benedict tasted like bad quality eggs, and the hollandaise sauce tasted like orange juice!! Truly to everyone, don't stay here! See the falls, and that is the end of this wasted investment.
