I am a regular visitor to Birmingham and need to be located on the south side of the City for business and family visits.
The Norwood Hotel in Northfield is a small, family owned Hotel/B&B and provides a comfortable stay in a clean and quiet environment. Owners Mark and Julie Wall are delightful hosts and do everything they can to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable.
Located less than 10 minutes walk from Northfield Railway station with a direct route via Cadbury World to central Birmingham (20 minutes). Alternatively a 10 minute walk into Northfield high street provides access to several bus services into the City.
Small, comfortable and friendly the Norwood is a pleasant stay for those who do not need big Hotel optional extra`s.

A great little find.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Norwood Hotel at the end of march as we were visiting a friend that being treated at the nearby Orthopedic hospital.
I do a lot of business travel in the UK and Ireland and i'm so bored of staying at same, same big brand chain hotels - so it was real pleasure to find a small, family run hotel, where your stay is appreciated.
We had a lovely stay at the Norwood and we were well looked after by Mark and team.
Breakfast was great and the room was a good size. The room were clean and more than adequate - with free WI-FI
There is also a lovely garden where we could have a couple of drinks and watch the sun go down.
I would defintly return to the Norwood next time we come to Birmingham.
Fully recommend this hotel!!!

This is a well run family business which has a very friendly service. They have good knowledge of facilities/places to visit. The rooms are nicely decorated/clean and comfortable with the free Wi-fi being of particular interest. Gardens are well landscaped and lovely to look out on. I found it very easy to travel to the University where i had to travel dayly. I would use this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I stayed at the Norwood with my girlfriend when we were visiting Birmingham to go to a concert and see some friends. The family atmosphere made us feel immediately welcome and the local knowledge of the area made our stay the easiest I have ever experienced when visiting a big city. Too many times I have stayed a big corporate hotels and you feel just a number. At the Norwood I felt as though the staff really cared about my stay and my impression of Birmingham. Everyone from the manager to the chef knew my name by the 2nd night and that is something a penhouse suite in the bellagio could not buy! If you are ever visiting Birmingham then I thoroughly recommend paying a visit to the Norwood. You won't be disappointed.

I have stayed in the Norwood Hotel on numerous occassions over the past year and felt it only right that I should give this friendly family-run hotel the review it deserves.
I found the best aspect of staying in the Norwood was the attentive customer service and the efficency with which the hotel is run. From the courteous reception staff to Mark and Julie who own and run the hotel, I always get a warm welcome, speedy service and feel like my repeat business is appreciated and rewarded.
The food is honest home cooking which really hits the spot after a hard days work and is well complimented with a good range of quality wines from around the world.
A friendly smile always awaits you in the hotel bar which is homely yet has a huge plasma TV offering a wide range of channels including live premiership football matches!
The rooms are comfortable and are all en-suite. They don't have the modern decor of larger hotels but are clean and fit for purpose.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit.
