We stayed here for one night on a weekend. We chose it because it had a water slide. The location was good near the mall and several restuarants. They also provide a shuttle to the mall, airport and MTS Centre. These are the only good features of this hotel.
The pool and area was very small and full of unruly kids. Good luck getting into the hot tub! There are only 4 tables to sit at - 2 of them were taken by a large group.
After swimming we wanted a bite to eat but room service ended at 10 pm. So be prepared to take your own drink and snacks because there are NO VENDING MACHINES! I even asked at the front desk. What kind of place does not even have a drink machine?
The front desk staff was constantly eating while working - unprofessional.
The furniture is outdated - marked up and chipped.
Worst of all there is a bar there so drunken and fighting people were streaming through the parking lot and coming into the lobby being generally disruptive.
The price is no value at $130. Go else where!

My fiance and I stayed at the Polo Park Canad Inn for one night, on July 11, 2007. For the amount we paid for a standard room, I was greatly disappointed. The biggest problem was the cleanliness of the rooms. The bottom of the bath tub was grey. I know it is probably not easy to keep the no-slip surface clean, but if it cannot be properly cleaned then they should find an alternative. There was hair on the bath tub, hair hanging from the towel rack above the toilet, stubble from someone shaving on the sink and a hair on my pillow. The pillow cases had stains as did the bed spread. The front desk staff barely acknowledged us at check in or check out there was no eye contact or smiles. I was not asked about my room or stay. Immediately upon getting into our room there was a call from the front desk asking how the room was but we hadn't really had time to have a good look at the cleanliness of the room and when my fiance joked about the $4.50 bottle of water in the amenities basket the front desk person got angry and defensive. At night there were people partying in the hallway at 1 am. They have their own on site security but I don't know where they were or what it is they do. We tried out the pool which was cold and the hot tub which was barely warm but didn't stay long in either as there were people in the hot tub with a baby that didn't have a diaper on. My final complaint is that their work out facility was extremely small 5 or 6 pieces of equipment for a large hotel and when I tried their elliptical machine it didn't work. Overall I would only go back if this hotel dropped their prices by about 50% and even then I would inspect my room right away on check in. One last thing, be warned if you do stay here local calls are not free and you are only allowed to use one of the 2 coffee packets they leave. If you use both you will be charged a ridiculous amount for the second one.

*If u seen the back area where they cooked the food you WOULDNOT want to eat there at all, very unsanitary and disgusting, food taste awful(ate there more than once).
*Front Desk ladies gave us dirty looks because we checked out 15mins late! And had the nerve to pretend it was ok.
*Hotel room was awful, it was humid and it smelled disgusting and bath tub was STILL dirty!
*Pool was sort of gross not enough tables. and pool was kind of yellowish. not a flattering colour. worst hotel ever.

I am partially disabled and had a doctor's appointment in Winnipeg, so the staff were very accomodating to me! The staff are all very polite and the service was excellent! Very easy access in and around the hotel for wheel chair users! Also for pleasure travellers, they have a night club and beer vendor right on site. For family travellers, they have a good sized pool with a water slide! Room service was quick and the food was great! Or for those who are able to get around okay, the restaurant is on site and has plenty of seats. I would highly recommend this hotel and chain to any traveller!
