Beautiful Hotel
Guest name: Mandy615, Friendswood
We lucked into the Hotel Albuquerque. I think I read reviews of it here and decided to give it a shot. I love beautiful non chain hotels. (It is a chain but not a Hilton, Marriott, etc)
We were greeted promptly and offered chilled lavender scented towels and Mexican Wedding cookies, which were delicious.
We had a lovely large room with premium bath products. The Internet worked without a problem and the free breakfast (which was actually a $30 voucher) was wonderful. If we would have had the buffet the breakfast would have been free but we ordered from the menu. It was 4th of July and we could see fireworks from all over the city. We were just stopping overnight and sadly did not see any of the city or much of the hotel. Next time we are in Albuquerque we will be staying here.

I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. The location is unbeatable and the hotel itself is very resort-like in a sense. Over the weekend there were 4 different weddings, 3 of which were on the same night. The only qualm with the hotel is that the rooms are very bare bones. The bathroom featured Aveda toiletries, yet there were no shower caps, cotton swabs, etc. The shower curtain was a thin vinyl liner. The bedspread and curtains need to be updated, as well as the old tube TV. The only power source is a commercial powerstrip that sits out on the floor. Overall I would recommend the hotel for the rate, but don't plan on spending much time in your room and don't forget to pack some basic toiletries.

A fabulous hotel in Old Town! Just a short walk to the shops and museums and very easy to reach from the airport. Make sure you try their breakfast menu, super huge portions (you might want to share) but the breakfast burritto is the best in town. It appears that Old Town doesn't cater to those that chose to eat on Sunday! We walked to three restaurants close to 8pm, all closed but had a lovely dinner at the hotel. If you want to walk to an extrodinary culinary experience, try the St. Clair Winery & Bistro. If you like wine and great food this is the best location and just a short walk from the hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town in March 2008. They greeted me at check in with a warm scented towel which was a lovely touch. My room was well appointed with southwestern accents that reflect the history and culture of beautiful New Mexico. The hotel is large and features a restaurant, lounge, meeting & event spaces and a gift shop. The outdoor spaces are lovely complete with a adobe chapel on the grounds that is reached by a walk through lovely gardens. Old Town is steps away; be sure to give yourself time to explore.

I was just in Albuquerque for the Run for the Zoo. I chose Hotel Albuquerque due to the proximity to the run. I was very pleased with the hotel. Richard was excellent to work with. The front desk was very helpful in particular Michelle. The towels were luxurious, and a nice addition. The view from our room was spectacular! We had breakfast in the restaurant and the Huevos Rancheros are a must have. Thank you for a great stay! Audrey & Christina
