Just returned from a 3 night stay at this great hotel. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. The decor of the hotel is very venetian and comfortable. The room was very spacious, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean with a beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast had a great variety from continental to bacon and eggs, this was served outside in the courtyard which was very pretty. We had complimentary bubbly on arrival in our room and I cant actually think of anything negative. The roof terrace was also very pretty and relaxing with beautiful rooftop views. Would definately recommend and I will be going back. Oh yes and I am very fussy, so my husband says!!!

The hotel was fantastic. Would highly recommend it to others and would go back there in a flash. The location was fantastic. A 5 minute walk from St Marks square and situated on a great shopping street (if you can afford Gucci, Prada etc etc!) if not, great for window shopping! We stayed in the most beautiful bedroom which had some lovely modern touches in amongst the traditional venetian decor. We were truly "wowed" when we first walked in. They also gave us a bottle of champagne on the house as they knew we were there for our honeymoon - great touch!! The service was truly fautless. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very smiley and knowledgable. The breakfast was very good and they offer a large variety. On the first night we ate in the hotels own restaurant - La Carvela - we highly recommend it. It was fairly pricey, but by far the best meal we ate while we were there and the atmosphere was beautiful The weather on the whole was very good and one late afternoon we sat on the roof terrace. Small but very comfortable with lovely sun loungers and magnificent views. Try and get up there if you can. Really cannot fault the hotel! Josh & Carly

Really enjoyed our 4 night stay in Venice in this hotel - excellent location close to St Marks Sq, very safe area. V close to Water bus station too. Staff v friendly, food v good. Last night we stayed there, power went unexpectedly for 3-4 hours - all staff were extremely v apologetic and reduced the cost of our room on the last night by 30% - was very impressed with that. Really enjoyed breakfast. Served til 1030! One morning a couple arrived at 1040 and they were accomodated with full buffet selection also. 2 of the mornings it was v sunny so the buffet was set up in the courtyard. Very nice to eat breakfast in the sun shine!

We can't say enough about this wonderful, beautiful hotel right in the centre of San Marco! We spent 3 fabulous days here in room #206. It was HUGE, including an extra-large tub, separate dressing room, separate shower and large bedroom with a Queen size bed. The room had 2 windows that overlooked the canal, and we were "seranaded" one morning by the gondoliers right under our window. The staff were excellent, and sent up some items from room service we needed for a picnic ... all complimentary. Highly recommend the Saturnia. It combines old-world design with modern conveniences.
