We were travelling Europe in August. We drove through the whole trip and we stayed predominantly in Accor hotels. We were very happy with the service of all their hotels, especially Sofitel. We were also pleasantly surprised with the Ibis hotels we stayed in. We thought a great way to end out trip was to stay at Sofitel Thalassa Les Celestines and pamper ourselves with the spas, massages, and all that the venue is advertised to be.
Unfortunately not. The service was bad. The staff unhelpful and rude. Once they had our signature they did not want to know us. When we tried to book in at the day spa for treatment, they told us nothing was available. It seems you have to book treatments before you book your room. We had no other choice but to walk around the town for three days. What a waste of time and money. Even the locals asked us why were we there? Unless you are a local student or suffering severe arthritis and discuss dentures and mothballs there is no reason to be there they said. And because we could not get any treatment at the day spa, our time and money was wasted. The staff at the hotel couldn't offer any solutions and didn't seem interested. The staff at the day spa were even worse. They allowed dogs to walk around but had a problem when we walked in with shoes on. Go figure!
So skip it. Go elsewhere. Go to Saint Nektair, play with the cows and eat good cheese.
