We booked our 3 night stay in Melbourne through WOTIF.com and it included an upgrade to a one bedroom suite, which was a nice surprise all for around $200 a night including breakfast.
From the moment we arrived till the moment we left we were treated by very friendly staff, professional and prompt services and our accommodation was outstanding, very clean spacious and comfortable. The King size BED was amazing, really felt like you were sleeping on a cloud and made getting out of it each day rather difficult!.
Out package included breakfast, which was a hot plated breakfast, rather expensive if you had to buy it, and does not include any beverage, which was a little disappointing.
We used a hirecar and for $28 a day they offer a valet service, which was very good, and certainly cheaper than car parking in the CBD.
This hotel was located only 500m from the casino, and a short walk to the main shopping areas.
We loved our stay here and would certainly stay here again if we were back in Melbourne in the future

My partner and I stayed here for a valentine's weekend, taking advantage of a romance package.
The customer service from the staff was fantastic-exactly as you would expect from a 5 star hotel! Could not fault them at all.
The hotel itself was nice, Rab is an fantastic restaurant, we went there for dinner and breaky the next day and were not disappointed at all. It's a cute, intimate restaurant and the meals were delicious.
Our room had a few hick ups but nothing major. The TV screwed up, but a staff member came directly to our room to fix it. Our room key stopped working and locked us out but we had that fixed promptly too.
We loved the hotel and told everyone we knew about how great it was.
2 months after our stay I got a call from Advantage Plus, the Accor Group's club where you could purchase memberships for. After being advised by them about the membership and that it would include a heap of things that weren't in fact offered as I later found out, I purchased the membership. Soon it became apparent I'd been scammed by one of their telemarketer so she could make commission. No one wanted to help and they refused to return our calls, once a supervisor told my partner he was a liar! In the end we canceled the membership, after being told we MUST return all marketing material, including every single pamphlet or we wouldn't get a refund. It left a sour taste in my mouth and we'll never stay at another Accor hotel again as I know I didn't tick the box to be contacted when I stayed at the hotel and the last thing I expected was to be ripped off after my stay.

Stayed at the Sofitel for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Did not encounter any problems and would stay again. I personally loved the bed but hubby thought it was a bit too soft though he slept well. It has a doona to sleep on which makes the bed so soft.
We had a lovely corner room of reasonable size. Only criticism is you couldnt turn the TV to face the bed and only one chair was located facing the TV.
Other than that great location to explore Melb from with the tram right outside the hotel. And Cafe LA is worth going to for both brekky and dinner.

We stayed for two nights recently after reading some of the reviews. Our one bed room apartment was quite nice - although did look a bit tired. Our first sign of trouble occured in the middle of the night when we realised the air con was not working very well. The room was very hot and stuffy - even though the air con was on full! The next morning I tried to get out of the apartment and found we were locked in! I had to use a knife to open the door. I went straight down to the manager to report the problems and he stated he would try and get us moved. My partner and I packed our stuff and then rang down to reception to let them know - only to be told they were too busy to help & could we call back. We then went down stairs and spoke to the manager again who promised a change of rooms asap. Sure enough, about 15 mins later they found us another room - this time about 1/2 the size of our original one. We complained again and got moved again to an apartment similar to the first one. Our original plan of spending the day enjoying melbourne had gone by the wayside - as it was now close to 2pm and we were exhausted. WE thought we would settle down with a DVD - but it did not work. Another call to reception - it turned out the cords were missing! Finally, the bill was wrong on check out and it took quite some time for them to fix it. Not really the weekend experience we where looking for.
