Go for Sun Lunch!!
Guest name: Nilly71, Bristol UK
My sister is currently living in Hanoi, so my wife and I went here for the Sunday lunch buffet with my sis and a friend while we were over visiting back in March 08.
Can't say anything about the hotel as a place to stay, other than it looks great, but the food, esp the seafood, was awesome and we emerged 5 hours of grazing, 4 bottles of Sancerre and 8,000,000 dong later having had a truly epic lunch!!
The trick about travelling is knowing when to spoil yourself - so even if you aren't going to stay there, go for sunday lunch!!
Yeah, you'll be paying western prices in a country where local food is v cheap, but go on - you know you want too....

Stayed at this hotel last month and it was absolutely fabuluous. Perfect in almost everything - services is top class, rooms are huge and interiors are excellent. Choice of restaurants, bars in the hotel is top class. I was on the club level in the Opera wing..the upgrade seems a bit high in costs but thats only till you see the room and the facilities that comes with the room. Go for the Club level when staying there.
Location of the hotel is also perfect for everything..walking distance to the old quarter, shops and local restaurants.

We tried to book to stay here while we were in Hanoi but the reception service was so rude and so unhelpful that we ended up telling them to forget it. The standard of English was very poor, they were very unclear about the pricing structure and kept changing the price, and couldn't even bring themselves to be polite. It looked nice though, so maybe if you don't mind being treated badly it's a good place to stay.
Perfection!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it really would be impossible to find any fault with it. The service and facilities were both fantastic. We upgraded to a club room which came with lots of fabulous extras such as complementary afternoon tea, evening cocktails and breakfast in a private area - this was fantastic value and well worth the extra money.
