We (me and my 13 years old daughter) stayed in this hotel between 16 and 23 March, 2008. Although I reserved and paid for Garden-View Deluxe bungalow, first night we spended in Garden-View Superior bungalow. Argument of hotel staff - in Deluxe bungalow we haven't two separate beds.
Superior bungalow No. 37 seems us old, tired and ugly. Toilet and bathroom smells bad, conditioner don't work normally, remote control of TV don't work, lock of safe-box don't closed etc.
Next morning we shift to Deluxe bungalow No. 16. We seen absolutely different picture. Room was bigger, clean, bright, smells normally, new working air conditioner, LCD TV, enough of sockets in wall (for charging of cellular or camera for example), big safe-box (it fits freely my laptop), normal toilet and bathroom. Bed was 3m in wide...
Hotel have beatiful sandy beach, freshwater 'infinity' pool, corals and fishes in lagoon, very comfortable deck chairs around pool, good bar and restaurant, spa complex. Service was pretty good, hotel peope was very pleasant and smile everytime. Arrival was very funny - on the boat deck bellboys played ukulele and sing in honour of each new customer.
All activities will begin and finished straightly at hotel reception or on the boat-deck. Car rental was in 200m from reception.
We spend very comfortable and good holidays in this hotel.

Unfortunately we have been back for 1 week now! How reality slaps you in the face once you have spent 5 days in Bora Bora!!
My husband and I stayed in an OWB for our stay and I must say I loved every aspect of the Sofitel.
Our room was very large with a lovely bathroom and decking area outside to relax. The rooms felt very private and there was no real need to leave! I was worried that the water outside our bungalow would be shallow and murky for swimming - this was certainly not the case. The water was beautiful and clear and was probably around 12 ft deep which made a quick dip so enjoyable.
The restaurant was also great, beautifully presented food with a very cool atmosphere. Yes, the buffets are expensive - but we arent in Bali here! I must also comment on the male restaurant manager - he was so lovely, taking me through what was in all of the dishes (I'm pregnant!) so I could choose carefully.
The grounds are also very clean and super stylish - love the design style here!
There is a little supermarket left on the main road about 400metres where we stocked up on mixers, water, nibbles etc and were able to make lunch in our room each day. This saved money and also meant you didnt have to sit down to a large plate at every meal.
One day, we hired a water taxi to take us to the Coral Garden snorkelling site which was absolutley stunning!! I am usually a diver (when not pregnant) so thought I woudl miss out - this was not the case at all. I wouldnt even bother diving here, you can see it all from the top. 7000 fcp P/P
We found that the time of year we went was perfect, hardly any tourists and beautiful sunshine!!
Would certainly stay here again - bliss!!

We spent 5 days of our honeymoon at the Sofitel Motu accross the water from the Beach Resort, but spend a lot of time, and ate most of our meals at the Beach Resort due to the terrible service at the Motu. The Sofitel Beach Resort in Bora Bora had the best food of all the four resorts we stayed at in FP during our trip.
The food at the Sofitel Beach Resort was amazing for breakfast and dinner every single time! They have a different dinner theme everyday, so you don't get tired of the food.
We were very impressed with the chef Nicolas who personally walks through the restaurant to check on the guests during the meals to make sure everyone is satisfied. I loved one of the Polynesian desserts so much I asked someone if it would be possible to get the recipe. The chef came out of the kitchen to give me the recipe. What amazing service!!!
Also the restaurant staff, especially Helene and Titiare, are wonderful. Helene speaks at least four languages from what I heard, she makes every guest feel special, and both always have a happy smile on their faces.
Also the hotel manager really cares about his guests. You will see him walking around making sure everything is running smoothly, and everyone is happy. He has a very pleasant energy, and also really seems to care about his staff.
Unfortunately the service at the bar is really bad. The bar staff ignores guests, and if you get served, it takes forever to get what you ordered.
