I needed a hotel in Dusseldorf prior to an early flight from DUS airport.
The ambassador is conviently located close to the main train station in duesseldorf. (3 minute walk)
The area around the train station is not the best part of Dusseldorf. People (drunks) hanging around the station; some sexshops (cinema's) in the street to the hotel but it did not feel unsafe on the street.
The hotel has a 24hr reception, which did a very fast check-in (and check-out the next morning)
Room was very clean with a good comfortable bed which was all I needed tot have a good start the next day for my early flight.
Price was quite good at 49 euro's.
I would choose this hotel again for this purpose.

We stayed there for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was clean and a decent size. As said in other reviews it was a bit noisy if window open as trams passing by but didn't bother us too much.
It was right near the main train station which connected with the underground and was about the only hotel in that area which had it's own free secure car parking. Also lovely buffet breakfast included.
Service was very friendly so would stay there again.

From the moment I arrived (well before check-in time), I was made very welcome by the hotel staff. The single (twin) room was clean and most comfortable, especially at 49 euros per night. I did query the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but within ten minutes a kettle, milk, tea and coffee all arrived free of charge.
The Hauptbahnhof is ideally situated for transport into the Altstadt and much further afield. Also useful for snacks and their supermarkt's offer goods at very reasonable prices.
I found the breakfast to be of an exceptionally high standard for a three star hotel, especially as it was included in the room price.
I will most certainly be staying here again, as it offered by far the best value in Dusseldorf.
I would also advise that if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back of the hotel rather than overlooking the street. With no a/c, when the windows are open it is very noisy throughout the day/night.
