A lovely clean and modern hotel. The rooms are on the small side and they seem to have quite a few snags that need to be ironed out. There are NONE of the advertised facitities, i.e. room service, restaurant, spa, beauty salon etc and as these were facilities were the main reason that we booked the hotel for a relaxing pampering weekend we were very disapointed to find them all missing. The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfasts were excellant. The road works out the front and the building site at the back ididn't help the noise level as it all started up at 8am and carried on all day. I'm sure that as soon as they iron out these problems the hotel will be worth a second visit.

I stayed at this hotel at Easter 08 and couldn't have had a more different experience than Stuarttaylor. It appears the hotel is newly renovated plus according to the manager, they are currently adding more rooms (thus explaining the construction site next door). The hotel was beautiful, the service excellent, the room very nice (all new) and the staff lovely. I am struggling to find something to criticise - the only things that could be improved in my opinion were the pillows (not up to the quality of the rest of the room) and the room lighting (a little too dull for reading at night). There is a tramway being constructed out the front of the hotel but that didn't have any adverse affect (it may have been an advantage because the road was essentially blocked to through traffic for the period of my stay). I have already recommended this hotel to a couple of my friends.

Es un hotel muy nuevo reformado hace muy poco, y esto se ve. No le falta detalle. Las habitaciones muy amplias y grandes, con todos los detalles: todo de parket, con sofàs, pantalla plana de tv, escritorio...El baño:inmenso hasta con una ducha de esas grandes que parece que llueve... Al ser nuevo todo está impecable. El desayuno muy bien, completo hay de todo...os recomiendo que pidais un capuccino os lo prepararán con mucho gusto. En la recepción algo fríos, pero atentos a cualquier cosa. Está al lado de la estación Sta.Maria la Novella y del centro a un cuarto de hora, diez minutos. Es un paseo ni te enteras. En general muy bien, un hotel de buena categoría y a un precio no excesivo para ser Florencia 120 euros (temporada alta). El único "problema" fue que se me cargo en cuenta la noche de hotel antesde ir, y me dijeron que era sólo para confirmar. Al regresar vi que seguía el cargo en cuenta y a parte había pagado en el hotel o sea 2 veces. Ellos fueron amables por email y me dijeron que hablarían con el Banco, supongo que el problema fue de Visa y se solucinó en algunos días.

I stayed in this godforsaken place in 2003, while on a business congress in Florence. In 4 nights I slept approx 2hrs each night, due to constant buzzing of Mosquitos. Indeed, the walls of the bedroom I stayed in will be blood spattered with the ones I managed to kill in the morning while they were lazy digesting my blood. The Hotels basement is an underground carpark, so the the hotel stinks of diesel fumes. No restaurant, the most basic breakfast you can imagine, and I cannot begin to describe the bedroom I stayed in. The window would not close so I had to attempt to tie it shut using the curtain cord. Horrible plastic furniture, tiny single bed, all in all the worst hotel I have been in, in my life, and I have had some awful ones in Asia believe me. Imagine my surprise when I found this place in Florence.
