Both my husband and I really liked this hotel. When we arrived the staff were fantastic. We were in one of the garden rooms and i would highly recommend this. As it was our honeymoon they brought us champagne. The room wasn't large but it was a descent size. It was very clean and tidy with no bedbugs. The staff were really helpful in giving information and booking a tour to Pompei for us.
The breakfast was continental and was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at on out honeymoon for it's selection. The location is great, it's close to buses and the metro but on a little side street so you don't get the traffic noise. Some of the restaurants in the area were fantastic. There is an internet place up the street, As it was extremely hot while we were there, the air conditioning was great and worked really well. It would cool our room down very quickly. The area around the hotel was safe and we could walk around at night with no concerns.
We stayed here for 6 days and if i was to go back to Roma i would stay here again. The front desk staff are all English speaking which was very helpful for us. I think there is supposed to be a restaurant at the hotel but it was not open during our stay. I think the only thing to improve our room would have been a mini fridge. I think this hotel is an excellent value for the money and i would recommend it. It was a lovely hotel and room to start off our honeymoon.

Great staff on duty 24 hours a day & nothing was too much trouble. They all spoke very good English which was a huge help!
The whole place was very clean.
I would stay here again but will book a garden room next time as the small enclosed garden was lovely.

I read lots of reviews about this hotel before booking it, as it's always hard to find a hotel by blindly booking one over the internet. Every hotel I read had it's fair share of good and bad comments. This is a lovely little hotel and a perfect base for a short stay in this bustling city. If you arrive in to Termini station and you're not sure where the hotel is, then don't believe the taxi drivers that try and tell you that it's 30 minutes away. Thankfully I had already read a review that it was ten minutes walking, which is perfectly true. It's nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Termini station and there is a lovely garden to sit in. The staff could not be more helpful. The rooms were quite small but perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean with air conditioning, which was very welcomed after walking round all day in 94 degrees.
The breakfast is lovely with a good choice of bread, cheese, meat, yoghurt., fruit and cereals.
I would happily stay at this hotel again.

We stayed four nights at the Astoria Garden. It was an excellent hotel. The room was good size, the bed was comfortable and the desk people were very helpful. They had a free European breakfast which was very nice. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the garden which was nice. The hotel was located near the bus line which made easy access to all the major sites. There are several nice resturants near the hotel as well, even a laudromat down the street (which we needed). The TV had one English channel. The only "problem" is parking was only available was on the street and no Internet -but for the price, quality and location, it was an excellent value.

We stayed here between our 10 day stay on Amalfi Coast and our early morning plane ride out of Rome. The hotel was decent, and only a 4 block walk from Termini, but the front desk staff was very rude. He gave us very incorrect information and was nasty on top of it! Breakfast was decent. If you're using the hotel like we did - it's fine, but go somewhere else if it's not for commuting.
