I feel bad for the people with the cold shower...that must have been nasty. But these things do happen occasionally and the boiler is fixed now! We had a really good experience. Friendly people, clean and comfortable room. Must have been remodeled as it is an older motel but the rooms are nice. Had a fridge and microwave and hairdryer, so not too basic. Two Lazyboy type chairs and a rather too small TV. Big bathroom with large shower...no bath, but that is okay with us. Had free wifi. Continental breakfast was just coffee, juice, bread to toast, and a small packaged sweet roll, but it tasted pretty good after 10 secs in the micro! I couldn't find fault at $39!

A basic room - nothing too special. Coke machine outside our door gave us a little added security to our corner room. Very small and dated, but clean. In the morning when we got ready to shower there was NO hot water. The staff in the office said they hadn't started the boiler yet (it was 7:00 am). We asked to talk with the manager, but "he is in California and would be home in 3 hours..." But the man who was repairing the problem would be there shortly. The car was packed (we were driving cross country) and we really left with little satisfaction. The worst of all hotels we stayed in while we were on the road for nearly 30 nights...and we didn't stay in 5 star places - mostly 2 or three. The town is pretty beat too...
