we stayed at this hotel for the new years eve 2007-2008.the location was good the breakfast also, BUT they stole our shoes.when we went to the reception to asked them if they know something the clerk wa very RUDE and told us it wasn't his problem.

Estuve a punto de cancelar mi reserva al ver las malas críticas en esta web pero decidí arriesgarme y la verdad no me equivoqué, el hotel es excelente, es muy limpio y a pesar de que admiten perros las habitaciones huelen a desinfeccion y limpieza, moqueta hiperlimpia, calefacción buenisima, restaurado y confortable. Volveríamos sin duda y lo recomendaremos

I went to this hotel with my wife on my honeymoon.
The hotel is not so bad. Especially the breakfast was good
for us. The clealiness wasmore than I expected.
Some clerk were very kind though not all clerk can speak English.
But there are some problems .
First the location is not so good. I heard the Prado Museum
and Sophia Museum were close to the hotel ,but it is hard for
us to walk.
Second , the bed was a littile bit hard and I got up?many times
in night.
Third, the wall between the room is too thin .That's why we could
hear the convesation next to our room in details.
Thinking of cost and benefit , I think it would not be bad choice.

We stayed at the Abba Atocha Madrid for one night in May. It was very clean, quiet and we were given an enormous room with sitting room with lounge and separate bedroom. The hotel is a 3 star but the furnishings are as good as some 4 star hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast was fine but nothing spectacular. The only negative I have about this hotel is the location. You really need to use the metro to get into the centre of Madrid and the station was closed for renovation when we were there so we had to use the bus instead. Overall it was very good value for money and the staff were polite and helpful.
