This hotel is okay if you're a budget traveller. The bedroom was nice enough and came with a range of Sky TV channels, a large window, air conditioning and daily bed making. As far as the positives go, that's about it.
The shower was a nightmare to use, with water coming out at about 17 different angles. It's also easy to burn yourself in it because the shower is quite small and you can accidentally nudge the temperature guage when you're turning around in the cubicle. There was also not enought shampoo to keep us going for a couple of nights, so we ended up buying our own from the local shop. The toilet wasn't that clean, and was leaky.
Our room was a double room and we basically got two single beds pushed together. Really annoying as we often woke up in the middle of the bed with dents in our backs!
For the most part, the staff were nice, but on our arrival we were inducted by a cleaning lady who didn't really want to know. As our starting pointfor the holiday, it just felt a bit disappointing to be greeted by a grump.
The location is quite good, being about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The nearest tram stop is a couple of minutes walk away and takes around 10 minutes to get to the centre of Milan. Nearby there are several trattorias to choose from. There are also a number of grocery/bakery/delis on the main road to the train station, so we usually ate locally in the evening.
Overall it is a basic hotel but I certainly think there are better value hotels out there at this price. I was glad we didn't stay there for more than two nights.

We stayed in Hotel Edolo on 20th September. When we arrived the chap who seemed to be in charge of reception appeared to be having a nap on a couch beside the reception desk. The room was clean enough but disappointingly there was no hot water available from either the bathroom tap or the shower. When we asked about this in the morning we were told we had to let the shower run for 6 minutes before hot water came through. Why was there not a notice to tell guests that ? The breakfast could best be described as mediocre. This was our eighth night in Italy and definitely below par according to our other experiences. We would not recommend this hotel to friends.

This is a very basic hotel. About 15 minutes walk from the central railway station. Few mins walk to a tram stop. There is really nothing much around the hotel area but it is well located to get into the city by tram or metro in about 10 mins or so.
