Estuvimos aquí en Octubre de 2007 y la experiencia fue extraordinaria, uno de los mejores hoteles en los que he estado y definitivamente el mejor de los occidentales de nuestro viaje a Japón. La habitación muy amplia, la cama enorme y las vistas del puerto, geniales. En su momento, conseguimos un excelente precio, lo que ayuda a mejorar la opinión. La ubicación es bastante buena y muy fácil de llegar desde la estación Motomachi.Chukagai. ___________________________________________________ The experience in this hotel was great, for the price we paid and from other reviews, i expected a good hotel, but this was great, a lot of space, quite luxurious, people with good english and wonderful views, both from the port and the Yamashita park. The location is very convenient and quite easy to get there with the metro station of Motomachi.Chukagai. We arrive to Yokohama with the JR Narita express and in the same station changed to the metro line. The space in the rooms is something not common in japanese hotels, so if this is your first hotel there, do not get used to it. If you like to walk around the city, is a great place just 2 minutes from chinatown and a very nice walk from the hotel to the Yokohama Tower and the Yokohama Cosmoworld, where you can find, among other things, one of the biggest ferris wheel in the world. It is a 30 - 35 minutes walk, but very nice.

My wife and I booked a last minute deal to The New Grand in Yokohama during the Xmas break at the very end of 2005. We had no idea about the hotel, the rooms or the facilities, reserving it sight unseen on the promise of a 50% discount on the regular price. Boy, we got lucky! Pleasant , high floor room with a breath-taking view of Yokohama and the harbour. Having viewed some of the other possible choices we were offered by the travel agent, we felt doubly lucky! As is typical of high class hotels the food and drink offered is a tad on the expensive side, but as has been mentioned in the previous review it is just a stone's throw away from the many great restaurants of Chinatown. My wife and I had a great time here and are definitely planning to return in the future (especially if we can get the same discount rate!).
