Our company usually uses CBD accommodation when people are staying in Auckland but in this case it was decided to try the Parklane due to it's proximity to the Expo we were exhibiting at. We thought it was a bit strange when the reservations were being made for our staff - the person answering the phone at the Motel strongly suggested booking with one of the online booking services (Wotif). We later worked out that this was probably because booking this way meant that the stay was pre-paid and it was therefore not easy to check out after the first night. The Motel itself is dated, dirty in places, not good value for money and very average. The following points are worth noting: 1. The people on reception couldn't be less enthusiastic. There was no greeting as such, no effort to explain where everything was, no effort to see if they could help. 2. The continental breakfast was simple but good value. The cuttlery however wasn't great for cleanliness. We also noted that things like a childs high chair in the corner were very dirty and grubby. 3. The rooms were not up to standard for the price being charged. There was human hair on the electric blankets, some of the pillows (check inside the pillow case) were disgusting and quite dirty, the showers were extremely low pressure and the hot water was irregular. 4. The wireless broadband didn't work and the Motel didn't seem to care so long as the got to sell coupons to use it. Their suggestion was that it might work better if I leaned out the window...... 5. They advertised a mini bar but nothing of the sort was available. Overall I would not recommend staying here if you have a choice to go elsewhere. There is much better value accommodation in the area.

We stayed at Parklane for business purposes (and have been doing this now for a good few years) because our company exhibits across the road from the motel. We have always found the managers to be pleasant and helpful and look forward to our time there each year. The location is great for getting around Auckland - nowhere is more than several minutes drive away, and there is a good access point to the motorway. If you want to stay in a place with an excellent location, good value for money, clean and tidy room and helpful (but not over-the-top) staff, then Parklane is a good choice. We will be back again next year.

Dieses Motel hat eine tolle, zentrale Lage, um überall in Auckland herumzukommen und den Cornwall Park konnte man zu Fuß schnell erreichen, was echt praktisch war. Jeder war hilfsbereit und der Service war hervorragend – einschließlich des warmen Frühstücks, das gut zubereitet war und auch einen vernünftigen Preis hatte. Das Zimmer war „herausgeputzt“, sodass es frisch, neu und sehr sauber war – ich würde tatsächlich sogar so weit gehen zu behaupten, dass es das sauberste Hotel war, in dem wir auf unserer Neuseelandreise übernachtet haben. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Cet hôtel est très central ce qui permet de se rendre partout dans Auckland et il est à quelques pas du Cornwall Park, ce qui est très pratique. Tout le monde était disponible et le service était excellent, jusqu’au petit déjeuner, bien cuisiné, et d'un prix correct. La chambre venait juste d’être refaite et était fraîche, neuve et très propre. En fait, j’irai même jusqu’à dire que c’était l’hôtel le plus propre dans lequel nous soyons descendus au cours de notre voyage en Nouvelle-Zélande. Hautement recommandé.

This motel has a great central location for getting around everywhere in Auckland and was just a short stroll away from Cornwall Park, which was really handy. Everybody was helpful and the service was excellent - including the cooked breakfast which was well cooked as well as being very reasonably priced. The room has just been "done up" so it was fresh and new and very clean - in fact i would go so far as to say it is the cleanest place we have stayed in during our trip to NZ. Highly recommended.
