Booked the rooms via Berjaya hotels website.. was too quick to decide basing on the beautifully taken, captivating photos.. Goshhh.. how appalled am I when I finally checked in. NO DOUBT, it was strategically located, right in the heart of Bukit Bintang and just right in front of the newly opened shopping centre, Pavillion (a great centre to find food) HOWEVER, it was sheer dissapointment when it comes to the accomodation to KL Plaza suites. it doesnt have a direct lift down and up. We have to take 2 lifts before we actually reach our room or to the carpark.... The staff were so-so.. Condition: Rundown, musty smelling rooms, broken tiles...
I booked a two room "suite" (to think that im staying in a so called SUITE) @ RM405. Not worthwhile. I would rather booked an adjoining room hotel if i would have known.....

Stayed here for a week on a cheap timeshare rental in Nov 2007 in a very large 2 bedroom apartment. Initially dismayed by the basic and uninviting rooms - very large with not much basic furniture, but it was clean and the location was unbeatable. Staff weren't very helpful or friendly and internet usage charges were very high (plenty of free signals downstairs if you have a laptop).

i want to say first off, that i may have a bias towards the plaza suites.
as i have lived there for over a year at a private owned residence, in the same complex.
things were not always good, even in a private owned appt - ie i experienced power black outs regularly (its not an uncommon thing in KL!)
but having said that, i love the place!
it isn't a fancy 5 star (or even 3 star) hotel - which i like to frequent also, as i have stayed at the mandarin oriental in KL (and will be staying at the traders this april)
but it has a GREAT location. and it is a serviced appt - ie. you can opt to have the kitchen/nette and you can have a group of friends of family living together, as there are 1-3 room, per suite.
the suites are a bit shaby, and the service is slow - though the staff try hard. but you cannot beat the price of USD 65 / single room suite.
that is a bargain!
there is a pool, a nice one - 25 m.
the gym is not worth trying
there is a laundry room, where you can do your own laundry (save on hotel dry cleaning)
and below is a shopping mall - with starbucks/coffee bean and you are in the centre of the golden triangle/bukit bintang area - walking distance to all the malls and restaurants/club.
so i recommend this place for a family who is wanting something relaxed. they want to cook, and they can save some money to spend on the more important things - like shopping in KL!!

Me and my husband stayed in KL Plaza as a tenants while we were working in Kuala Lumpur for couple of years and we like the place a lot.We found this place is extra special to compare with other service apartments in Kuala Lumpur City Centre as it is one of the most convinience and exclusive place for a very reasonable price. The facilities are super from the swimming pool ,shopping mall and night out.The place is quite old but still has it's own class to compare others. It surrounded 5* hotel like four season hotel which is just cross the road,Westin Hotel and The JW Marriott Hotel next door,Isetan Shopping Mall just 1minutes walking distance and Star Hill luxury shopping mall next door.Planet Hollywood on the entrance just next to the Coffee Bean.10 minutes walking distance to the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur times square is just behind the building.Every event will be celebrated down stairs the building even the fireworks on new years eve. It's super!!!The rooms inside the building is depends how you get the deal. Most of them has been refurbished and stunning with new furniture.I am not sure how others judge with this building but for me and my husband we can never find other place like this one because we've been travel quick a lot of places in Asia and Europe, nothing you can get like KL Plaza with a very reasonable price, super location in the golden triangle of the City Centre and surrounded of luxury in just minutes away.Try to stay and look other places then you can say how convinience is KL Plaza.May be the management Berjaya has to change something to make this place a better place like the entrance and decoration otherwise is super super....
