wir haben das erste 2007er Oktober-Wochenende im Le Sorgenti verbracht und Halbpension gebucht. Lage: recht nahe an Eisenbahn und Autobahn, bei offenem Fenster kann das manchmal störend sein, in der Nacht gab es aber ausreichend Ruhe. Die Zimmer sind passend zur Villa, ausreichend geräumig, sauber und entsprechend eingerichtet. Frühstück: typisch italienisch, nicht übermässig reichhaltig, aber ok. Sogar der Kaffee war gut! Abendessen: das Highlight! 4-Gänge Menu mit typisch italienischen Speisen, auch aus der Region. Für jeden Geschmack etwas (Fisch, Fleisch, Pasta, ...) Service sehr bemüht, vor allem der ältere Kellner und die schwarzhaarige Kellnerin. Fazit: für einen schönen Kurzurlaub in der Toskana ein ideales Hotel

Montecatini Terme si trova a cinque minuti dall’autostrada Firenze-Pisa; è un posto bellissimo dove stare e da dove esplorare entrambe queste città ed altre, come ad esempio Lucca. Per arrivare dall’hotel al centro di Montecatini ci vogliono 10 minuti a piedi o pochi minuti se si va in bicicletta (è tutto in pianura! Si può usare una delle bici dell’albergo). Il Sorgenti è pieno di pezzi d’antiquariato e il personale è davvero cordiale e disponibile. Il giardino e la piscina sono bellissimi e c’è sempre un bagnino di servizio. La nostra camera era piuttosto piccola, ma estremamente ben arredata. La cena all’hotel era davvero buona e il bar rimaneva aperto fino a tardi, ma di solito le bevande erano care. Probabilmente vale la pena di cenare in albergo perché stranamente non ci sono molti ristoranti a Montecatini. Il Sorgenti si trova su un’arteria principale, ma è arretrato rispetto alla strada, quindi non si sente alcun rumore. Ci tornerei senz’altro.

Park Hotel Le Sorgenti Montecatini. Our recent visit to this hotel totally ruined our stay in the lovely Montecatini. When you look at the hotels website it appears a lovely hotel full of charm and character with lovely gardens and facilities as you would expect a four star hotel to have but when you actually arrive at the hotel and you see the run down filthy state of the place with the overgrown gardens peeling exterior and tired and worn out interior you wonder how on earth this hotel has ever had a four star classification but the worst is yet to come. After being allocated your smutty room and settling in you will start to scratch at first you may think you have been bitten in the garden whilst walking up to the hotel but after a couple of days you will realize it is in the rooms and you are still being bitten even when you keep the windows shut in the heat of the day oh and don’t think that you can have the air-conditioning on because that doesn’t work either. When the main topic of conversation at dinner between the hotel guests is how many bites you have now and creams and lotions are being passed around you begin to realize what is going on and when the tour rep is complaining of the same whilst sitting in the hotel your weeks stay cannot end soon enough. The food, breakfasts are a joke not even a boiled egg I saw the staff putting it out on the table the night before after dinner and it has to be the poorest attempt I have ever seen. Dinner is adequate and you can tell the chef hasn’t much to work with but does his or her best and again not four star. When sitting on the plane coming home both myself and my wife were finding new bites so the bugs fleas or whatever must now be in our clothes so its quite something when the first thing you do when you arrive home is shut the door completely strip and deposit your clothes in a bag it certainly becomes a holiday you will never forget. Yes we did try to move hotels and we were told all were booked. Crystal Holidays should be ashamed to endorse this hotel as a four star oh and don’t believe it when they say it is a fifteen minute walk into town you could not even run it in that time and it is quite nice to see on an evening stroll near the hotel the prostitute on the corner and the kerb crawlers passing by your wife will be enchanted. There are many really nice three star hotels that Crystal could promote and they chose this one they are having a laugh call it what you like But believe me when I say never in twenty years of holidays to Italy have I ever stayed in such a smutty filthy hovel as this hotel I wouldn’t have them pay me to stay there again.
