While the Pincio's proximity to the Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain make it convenient for tourists, nothing else makes it memorable. Please note that you need to walk up one flight to get to the lobby, and the old building has been retro-fitted with a tiny elevator that barely accomodates one person and their luggage. My wife & I recently spent two nites here, and we tried to spend as much time away from our room as possible. While the rooms are clean and the staff was helpful, the decor is very bland with terrible lighting and just one window. Overall, the Hotel Pincio is an average hotel.

We spent three nights at this hotel and found it to be perfect for our needs. The location was very central - we were able to walk to most sights or take short cab rides and we also utilized the nearest metro stop a few times. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The street noise might be a problem for light sleepers, but earplugs worked great for me. The breakfast terrace was lovely, however the food was just okay. We wound up getting breakfast elsewehere most mornings. Overall, a great value for under 200 euros a night, especially if you just want a clean place to sleep and a good location.

Hotel Pincio doesn't look like much from the outside, and is the case with most hotels in Italy, but once you get inside you get a true feel of old Italy. The elevator shaft is in the center of the building and highlights how things once looked long ago. You're greeted at the top of the stairs by the owner/son and are instantly asked where you would like to go and prepare a map for you. The rooms are quaint - old wallpaper, little rooms, with full bathrooms. Open the windows because this is where you get the true Rome experience - clanking dishes from the cafes below, people laughing and talking along the streets. They serve breakfast on the roof top patio and have great coffee!

Hotel Pincio is literally a 2min walk to the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. In the center of Rome, with a great view of Rome on the patio during breakfast. We had a quad room in the center of Rome at a minimal cost. I will definately be staying here again.

This hotel by far is the greatest location in the heart of Rome, the rooms are just adequate and clean, the owner of the hotel super super nice, overall an excellent choice look no further.
