I stayed here for 2 nights in June. The person who checked me in was extremely nice, but unfortunately, I never saw him again. The woman who I did see for the next 2 days was rude and patronizing (to guests and other employees). She had a nasty SHOUTING MATCH with a kitchen employee during breakfast one day, clearly within the hearing of the guests (like myself) eating breakfast which made for a very uncomfortable environment. I speak Italian as well, and was quite shocked by the language she was using (besides the tone, of course). Very unprofessional and juvenile.
The room was NOT air conditioned as was stated - just had a noisy vent that blew warm air and it was sweltering. The window (actually a small terrace) didn't close all the way, so didn't feel very safe. Street outside is very noisy, so at night you either suffocate or sleep with the noise and lack of safety.
Location is convenient as it's right around the block from the Porta Nuova train station, but that's this place's only redeeming feature. Otherwise, it's a dump! It's a shame because Torino is a beautiful city...

1 brioche per persona e pane e marmellata: no torte, biscotti o fette biscottate. Un piatto di salumi e formaggi.
Ascensore piccolo, lento e rovinato. Corridoi con parti con lavori in corso.

We had a corner room with Balcony overlooking the street. Very large comfy bed, and squeaky wooden floor. Bathroom was OK.
Breakfast intermittent with food appearing when requested of staff. Friendly Bar opposite with two resident transvestites outside.Convenient for sightseeing, close to shopping and Station.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. Staff were not friendly or helpful; the owner, a middle-aged woman, was abrupt verging on rude; the (admittedly single) room I had booked was poky and gloomy - although described as 'single de-luxe'; the 'buffet breakfast' was laughable - hardly anything worth eating and the coffee was from a multi-drink machine which meant that the coffee was tainted with faint tastes of tea and hot chocolate. Also, worryingly, things inadvertently left in rooms after checkout 'disappeared' mysteriously. My friends and I were staying in Turin for 2 days, then visiting Genoa before returning to Turin (and this hotel) at the end. One friend left a special pillow behind when she first checked out. She telephoned the hotel when we got to Genoa and was told to call back the next day. She called back several times but no-one answered. On our return to Turin she asked the surly owner about the pillow, but was told none had been found. For my own part, I checked out the next morning and realised, on returning to pick up my bags later, that I had left my raincoat in the room. I asked the guy on the desk about it; he said nothing had been found and said I could go up to the room to check. I did - nothing there. However I was quite sure that I HAD left the coat there and stood my ground in the face of the guy's denials until finally, with a great show of shrugging, he telephoned someone, to be told that the coat had been found and was in the cleaners' cart! The one thing I did think was worth having, though, was the location - true, as others have said, there are some rather odd characters to be seen on streets in the vicinity but I did not feel at all threatened (I am female) and found the place ultra-convenient for the main train station and then for walking around the sights of Turin.
