A pleasant stay
Guest name: NewJerseySunshine, New Jersey
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights during peak flower season (fully booked) and found the motel room comfortable, clean, and spacious. Motel staff were courteous and helpful during our stay. The continental breakfast was modest but adequate with coffee, cereal, toast, buns, apples and bananas, and orange juice. Neither tea nor decaf coffee were available, but when we asked for tea from the front office, it was promptly provided. The price of the room seemed appropriate given the time of the year and less expensive than others we considered. We would stay here again.

hi !! 1st of all sorry for late reply .. i was busy in get in to regular schedules.
i just came back from a amazing 7 day vacation in borrego springs ...i never been here before .. its my 1st time .. and i m really very pleased with this place .. its a amazing place for those who like desert and mountains ...
i booked stanlunds for 7 days .. i booked it through my travel agent ... we booked a suit room with a lil kitchen and a back patio .. when i reached there it was a cloudy weather and when i see hotel i thought i might not stay here longer then 1 night cuz outlook of hotel is very very simple ..nthing special .. i went to the office and there was a boy .. they don't have staff .. and owner of the hotel was not there but the boy was very friendly and very talkative .. we ( me and my wife ) passed almost 20 minutes at the office and we talked a lot about this place and about india ( they r from india ) .. after that conversation we went to our room .. i think the number of room was 12 but i m not sure ...
the room was amazing and beyond my imagination which i made after the 1st look of hotel .. room had a lil back patio and old but nice interior with pullout sofa ( after some time i came to know that they remolded it before 2 years ) .. very comfy bed .. room was nicely clean and well kept .. . but i like the bathroom most cuz of shower ...
they had a very gud continental breakfast with plenty of choice in every thing .. they have very nice heated pool .. we enjoyed in pool almost everyday .. once my wife feel to go in pool night .. and pool was closed .. but still she went to the office and talk with the manager ( the boy ) and we were surprised when he said he will open pool for us .. very friendly ... we enjoyed a lot that night cuz outside air was very chill and water was warm .. ..
we enjoyed our stay at stanlunds ... its a nice place to stay .. and we are planing to go there again in our next vacation .. hope we'll see u " yesh" ( name of my friend at stanlunds ) ..

I was passing through Borrego to visit my parents, as they are now making it an annual tradition of wintering here. I was offered to stay in the trailer with them, but I then opted I'd rather have my own space. My dad and I stopped by here by random. The office was locked up. There were cars around. I then rang the bell, and the desk clerk showed up. She had a heck of a time figuring out the door lock, but she was nice and joking about it. I went in and made my reservation for that night. She was very friendly and helpful. Later that night, I made it back to my room. Upon first entering, I noticed a distinct odor. I made it a point to think nothing of it. It's an old motel, and that usually comes with the territory. Later on in the evening, the smell sort of dissipated. I liked how the room was set up. There was a grate that separated the bathroom area from the bedroom area. Two downfalls. No wi-fi internet, and the bathroom is in dire need of repairs. My bed was comfortable. I also was provided with a coffee maker, and a little refrigerator. The motel was nice and quiet. I felt the price was reasonable; given that there really isn't much competition for this motel in Borrego Springs. It's still affordable for me, since I'm on a somewhat tighter budget. I believe I will be staying here again in the future when I come back to Borrego Springs.

We were encouraged to stay here because they claim to be 'pet friendly'.
We have a large dog who never barks & detests the desert climate, so she spent the entire weekend inside, on her dog bed, eating kibble from her dog feeding station... except for 'bathroom breaks'... she was never outside. Still, every time we walked the dog (w/ doggy bags) the manager gave us evil looks.
The bed was old & saggy. The motel is not clean, the rooms smell bad. It's a disgusting dump made worse by the room, unfriendly manager.
If you need a low price, stay at the OASIS MOTEL on the main road; it's clean, the resident managers kind & has a 9' deep pool, the only drawback is their swamp coolers... no A/C.

we went with the intention of stopping 2 nights here. but only stopped 1.
booked in, given a choice of room one had a bad smell ( should have gone there and then.)
settled into king room number 2 ok. went for swim notice 3 lads pushing supermarket trollys laden with blankets and personal stuff.they went into rooms 1,3 and 4. and the getto blaster was turned on.
my wife went to reception to change room. i asked them to turn it down. they did, no further problem there..
we moved across the square to a queen room ok.
went for at good meal and experience at the bighorn saloon at the PALM CANYON RESORT. we should have stayed there.
later back at stanlunds we had a bottle of wine on the porch.whilst watching the local wildlife outside our door.
3 different kinds of mice and 2 rats. not what we want to see on holiday.the d/w was terrified. and plugged the gap below the door with the towels.
next morning, the critters had not got in. d/w had stopped up all night to make sure i slept safe and sound.
up early, breakfast LOL not nice. the owner peaked through the blinds. but never came in. went to reception to hand in key and make our comments. he was nowhere to be seen
we left with not a very good picture of borrego springs and will not return.
