Good memories of Lafawnda

really it isn't that bad, I don't know what these people are talking about. The Highland Motel staff was helpful and nice (if you understand them). and due to the water shortages all over the world I think its respectful and appropriate that they haven't wasted water in filling the swimming pool with new water every year (a little mud never hurt anyone). At first we were dubious, but after an unsuccessful search for dead hookers under the bed, we where pleased with the room.
The Best memory would have to be the 2 A.M. dance party to Styx in room 15. It was slightly sketchy when sex sounds where made with much reference to a woman named Lafawnda, the flooding of the bathroom was mildly unpleasant as well.
My only complaint would be that the lock on the door broke off with the dead bolt and part of the wall attached.
We only stayed for one lovely night, and the cleaning staff was very professional even though they didn't invest in a cleaning trolley, but rather a shopping cart (possibly stolen) would suffice as a hold and transport method for their cleaning supplies.

This motel was the worst I have ever stayed in. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty!! The only room we could get was a smoking room and it showed! Burn marks everywhere, filthy & stained chair, fridge broken and dirty inside, bathroom in sad state of disrepair, dirty walls. It was so bad I wanted to find a place to put up our tent. We only stayed because it was late at night when we got there and we had to leave early in the morning. We also couldn't find anyone to complain to. It put a real damper on our stay in Kingston.

We went to stay in this motel for a night as my husband was leaving for afghanistan. We got a sitter booked our room and went out for the
night. We got to the hotel at midnight. Walked in to a room that was in poor condition putting it lightly and smelled like stale urine. Bathroom floor was sticky. I then went to pull back the bed sheets and found a bed bug in the bed. When we went to tell the guy at the front desk and asked for a refund he refused. On this night the city was sold out. Thankfully we do live here and were able to go home as in no way were we staying with bugs in the bed. Do not even when desperate stay at this motel unless you like bugs.

This "motel" offers weekly rates for anyone who is unfamilar with Kingston. However, once you arrive at the motel, you are quickly astonished at the incredibly poor condition of this motel.
*old wood doors could be broken into quite easily.
*pool unfilled and falling apart.
*sketchy looking people all over.
*walked into "jacquzzi suite" bed was unmade, carpet stained, glass tiles on wall broken. Room smelled of unthinkable odours.
*Bathroom looked to never have been cleaned.
WORD TO THE WISE, take our advice and never stay at this motel, especially if you are a woman.
WE WARNED YOU!

Stayed only one night in this hovel (calling it a hovel is being kind) and moved on to another motel as I was absolutely disgusted. The room and bathroom was filthy and in poor repair, the television and bed lamp did not work, the room smelled and the walls are paper thin.Avoid at all costs!
