We booked this hotel as a 1 night stay over before commencing our holiday in florida.
It does exactly what it says on the tin........ A good location to be if you are travelling from manchester airport. A free shuttle is available and is there within minutes. A nice walk over to the airport although a little far to be carting cases. Rates are average, food in the bar was good.
Clean spacious rooms at affordable prices.

After spending a year living in Moscow, this was my first port of call on returning to the UK where all I was hoping for was a nice bath and comfy bed. Beweleys certainly didn't disappoint
The hotel was immaculately clean, rooms were spacious and comfortable with TV, great bath, tea, coffee etc. Fabulous. Staff were friendly - you can call from any terminal in the airport (and the train station0 and a free shuttle will come and collect you with return shuttle offered upon checking in. (even though the hotel is only about 5mins walk from the airport terminals I chose the shuttle mainly due to the sie of my suitcase!!)
Unfortunately, as I was so tired I didn't get the chance to sample the restaurant (fell asleep too early) even though it looked good. Vending machines on the ground floor and ice machine on each floor.
As for the noise of staying on airport grounds- I have to say I slept very well and heard absolutely NOTHING all night.
Definitely stay there again each time I travel (which is a lot).

The hotel proved to be an ideal base from which to commute into Manchester for a football match. We arrived earlier than the advertised check in time but the helpful girl checked us into our double / double room. The room and the beds were perfect and we had a nice view of the planes taking off from the airport. The bar was quite contemporary and modern and the breakfast was ample and delicious. This hotel proved to be an excellent choice and i would strongly recommend it.

Having left it pretty late to book a hotel for 2 nights in Manchester on one of the busiest weekends of the year so far (the last match of the season at Old Trafford, & C?line Dion was in town, aswell as it was a Bank Holiday weekend), we ended up having to resort to getting a hotel by the airport! Not such a bad idea as I was flying out on our third day.
We were recommended the Bewleys Hotel, and firstly, having never heard of the chain I was slightly sceptical about booking it, but desperate times meant desperate measures.
We travelled up by train, connecting through Picadilly for a direct train to Manchester Airport (takes 15-25 minutes depending on how many stops the train makes), the hotel is right next door to Manchester Airport National Rail Station, however it's a bit of a complicated walk to get to it (across a main road and round a few corners), you'd probably be better off just calling the hotel when you're on your way and arrange for the courtesy bus to pick you up.
First impressions mean everything, and for what's advertised as a 3* hotel, and at such a great price, I must say I was tremendously impressed. All the reception area is marble, and the staff are really friendly, offering an informative and efficient check-in procedure.
The hotel is split into two blocks, the new block and the old block. My friend and I got allocated a room in the new block, and my parents in the old block (maybe because they knew I work in the travel industry and wanted to make a good impression). There is a big difference and you can tell it, our room was much nicer, much bigger, and we had two doubles as opposed to their one. Therefore I'd strongly suggest that if they have rooms available in the new block, to go for them!
In the room you have a nice ensuite with a bath/shower, really comfortable beds with more than enough pillows and a nice thick duvet to keep you warm on those cold nights, a TV, tea/coff?e making facilities, and a phone.
The main bonus of this hotel is the free wireless internet! Excellent for business travellers, and a great convenience to leisure travellers wanting to check train times into the city and things to see and do! It's just a normal insecured wireless network that your laptop/wireless dong can connect to as per any normal wireless link at work/home.
I did have 'room service', but it finishes at 10, if you want to order between 10pm and the time the bar closes, you can order over the phone and go and collect your order then take it back to your room. For the prices, I wouldn't recommend it! I had the most horrible soup and my friend had a nasty looking club sandwich.
The only main concern I had with the hotel (that I did voice to reception), is that on the Saturday morning, the maid let my dad into the room, not knowing that he was actually my dad! If that was just anyone, they could have gotten away with my laptop, foreign money, mobile phone, and a suitcase full of holiday clothes! The receptionist apologised and said she's bring it to housekeeping's attention! (I don't think it will be happening again!)
Other than the food and that slight hiccup, the overall experience of the hotel was excellent, and I'd definately be using it again!

*The hotel operates a free shuttle bus to all terminals and the train station
