Even though the rooms were pretty small, the price was not too bad and the location was excellent. We walked easily to the Duomo (and encountered the celebrations when Inter Milan won!), to see the Last Supper, to La Scala and even walked to the shopping area.

Hotel London was a great find. The staff was extremely helpful with all my questions, and the location could not have been better. Milan is a very expensive city, and anything closer would've cost much more. While my single room with a bath was quite small, I'm a single traveler so I don't need much space. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It also included a very strong AC, which is a lifesaver in any European city. If I find myself in Milan again, I would definetly stay here again.

Spent four nights here at the end of June. Italy is in the midst of a
record summer heat wave, and the London has good AC. The location can't be beat. It's on a small, quiet sidestreet between the Duomo and the Sforza castle just around the corner from the Cairoli metro stop. The hotel is clean and the sisters who manage the place (along with their father) are helpful and friendly. The rooms are small - no
more so than most inner-city Europeon hotels - however, they are well
layed out and have good closet space. The only gripe from below that I would agree with concerns the size of the showers. They are quite small, and while it wasn't a problem for me, I could see that if you are large or infirm, they might be too tight. The shower in the common bathroom at the end of the hall was larger. The rate was a 100 E a night, and I think you would have a hard time beating that price for a place of this quality in this location.

Although the staff of the hotel was friendly and professional, the location was good (near the Duomo), the room was NOT a good value for the money. I paid about $100/night for a tiny, drab room with no toilet. Room amenities did include a shower in one corner (what I call the compact "phone booth" style shower), a sink in the other corner and a bidet next to the sink, but no toilet. I think it is odd that the room had a bidet but no toilet. The spotless toilet was down the hall. I happened to be in Milan during Fashion Week. The London Hotel was one of the few hotels with room availability at that time (even though I tried to book a room about a month in advance).
