NOT for honeymooners!
Guest name: cloonmore, galway
Stayed here for the first nite of our honeymoon and am so glad did not have my wedding reception here. Arrived at reception to be greeted by a grunt from receptionist who could not even congratulate us when saying that we had honeymoon suite booked. Room was at back of hotel (overlooking the new motorway) so obviously an unpleasant view! Husband had paid an extra ?50 to have a box of chocs and flowers in the room on our arrival. This consisted of a box of Milk Tray and a half dead bunch of chrysanthemums. Room small and poky and toiletries so cheap they made me come out in a rash. Had meal booked in restaurant for that nite and on arrival there, even though the restaurant was not busy, was placed at a table rite beside the toilets. The smell of disinfectant was so overpowering that we asked if we could move tables. Cue surly and grumpy restaurant manager who had taken a dislike to us. Food very very average. Breakfast usual greasy products in buffet format but by far the most disappointing thing was the general bad manners and miserable looking staff. Even though am irish myself, the irish staff were by far the rudest. Had last laugh tho as they omitted to charge us for the meal the nite before when we were settling the bill. Very disappointing and would not give them my hard-earned cash again.
Brilliant place to have a break

We went to a wedding in June in the Mill Park. From the minute we landed life just became one long easy, pleasant time. We were greeted by a friendly staff, to whom nothing was too much trouble, and escorted to what I can only say was a 'wow' room. Dublin hotels with your fancy suites 'eat your heart out'. The MIll Park rooms are big enough to hold a good party in....not that any of that went on. The hotel was the essence of peace and tranquility with enough space for the children to get 'not quite lost' in, a great swimming pool and leisure area and plenty of reading lounges. There is lovely cafe bar which serves food most of the day, at reasonable rates, and the restaurant overlooks the foyer, which we found very interesting, and fun to eat in. The hotel seemed to be catering for numerous different functions and with total ease. The food both in the restaurants, and at the wedding was without fault. All in all we had a perfect time and the Mill Park is firmly on our list of annual retreats.

This was a one night stop for our group traveling through Ireland and I wish we had more time to stay there. It is a beautiful hotel with great service and accommodations. Would highly recommend it!
Not in the center of town so you have to either walk a ways or catch a cab. But if you want some country luxury this is a good spot.

We took the family for a few days break in donegal, booked the Mill Park as previously stayed, the hotel service is still the same if not better, staff are so helpful and friendly, bar snacks first night where so good we had lunch there also rather than in town. The kids love the pool and it was a refreshing few days away without the hassle of airports or long delays due to cheap flights!
Well done Mill park hotel and we shall be back again soon.

Stayed here for three nights with husband and three children. When I saw the family room I was very disappointed, shabby walls, fingerprint marks, and an array of beds everywhere! bathroom nice and clean but only had a shower and no bath. Evening meals wonderful, but breakfast a disaster! served from 7.30 til 10am but inedible by 8 o'clock as cooked all at once and left to rot for the next few hours, only edible part was the toast brought straight to the table. Leisure centre okay, but generally disappointing, wont be back
