We stayed here in July after a wedding. We had not been to the hotel for nearly 20 years and what a difference !!!
Check-in was friendly and informative, despite the foyer being busy due to the wedding party. In general, the staff were attentive and polite, although obviously in-house trained rather than formall so. One could argue that this has its own charm.
The food at the wedding was much better than it can be at such occasions. Breakfast was a mixture of self service and sit-down.
The room was spacious, but what sold it for us was the view - awesome.
I think one would have to have a sea-view to truely appreciate the hotel.

I had my wedding in garryvoe in November, it was the first and last hotel we looked at when selecting a venue, the hotel staff especially GM Stephen Belton were so helpful, the food on night was fantastic and portions were huge, i had 220 people for sit down, the funciton room held this number perfectly, the bridal suite was out of this world amazing!!!!! and so were all the other rooms, everybody i have spoken to who was at wedding sang its praises,
the reception area is fantastic for a wedding reception with plenty of space and fab views,
Thanks again to Stephen and all staff at Garryvoe,

I stayed in the Garryvoe Hotel for two nights with my husband and what a wonderful place. We got a room in the front of the hotel overlooking the ocean. The room was large with lovely decor, the shower was so powerful it was like having a message. The hotel bar was really modern but there was a really cute local bar to the back of the hotel which had a pool table and dart boards.
The staff were really friendly and professional and I would definately go back again.

Stayed here for one night having attanded a wedding there. Room was a good size, modern and comfortable. Bathroom was an average size with a powerful shower.
Staff were friendly and location was beautiful overlooking the coast.
It has been recently rennovated and re built and is generally very modern. The key to the room was a normal key and you had to lock the door behind you. For a relatively new hotel a key card system was be much more in keeping with the standards of a modern hotel.
Food at the wedding was excellent but residents bar was not so good. It opened in the room the wedding was in about an hour after the original bar was closed. It therefore lacked atmosphere but we made the most of it!

This Hotel is simply wonderful,it's been our third visit, the staff, as always, are naturally friendly and keen to please. The food in the restaurant is local, prepared with great care and attention.
Rooms are of an excellent size, and very comfortable, and the views.....UNFORGETTABLE. Well done to all involved in this truly remarkable place.
