Could do with some improvement

Stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed the rest and relaxation that the place offered. The bungalows are a nice idea and the area is kept very clean. The sofa's outside each bungalow are quite worn and could certainly do with being replaced as they seem well used. Also the mattress on the bed wasn't too comfortable, they too probably need replacing.
Apart from that we really enjoyed staying there but for the price that they charge per night, they need to make sure you get value for money and comfort too.
An unforgettable slice of paradise

The Coco Beach Resort is simply the best place to stay in Mui Ne - which, if you want a little beach action, makes Coco Beach one of the best places to stay in Vietnam.
I should say first off that I am a little biased as I intended to propose to my girlfriend in Vietnam and ended up doing it at Coco Beach. I thought as soon as we walked in that it would be perfect and ended up proposing on one of the sofas on the verandahs that each of the stilted bungalows have.
The bungalows are set in a carefully tended and verdant garden with winding paths between them. All of the paths lead to the bungalows and inevitably towards the perfect beach and to the CBC restaurant that overlooks it. Each bungalow is built on stilts, with steps up to it, and appears to be made of dark wooden slats. There tends to be an urn at the door with a coconut ladle for washing ones feet before one enters.
The dark wood theme is continued inside with spartan but tasteful lacquer-style furniture (is any furniture out there actually really lacquered?). There is no TV - which suited us - but there is decent AC. The shower was good, though as I believe another poster mentioned the towels on the first day were faintly musty. The bathroom was quite small, but was adequate, and painted surprisingly cool colours - dark grey and lime, with a concrete slab supporting the sink.
There are two restaurants, we only visited the CBC restaurant because the food was perfectly good there - delicious in fact - and the other posher restaurant (with a degustation menu!) only served French food. There is a strong breeze along that beach so there are certain dishes that they'd rather not have you sit on the beachside of the restaurant for - before I chose a fondue for example, they suggested I moved inside. I was tempted to sit there and have it anyway just on the off-chance that a steroid-ridden gust did blow it up and across the beach and onto a kite-surfer.
My only complaint, if I had to make one, was that we had ordered a double and we were given a twin, though in their defence I believe we were lucky to get a room at all (and if we hadn't have booked when we did we would not have) and they did get it remade up so that the beds were together with soft materials between them. With a single mosquito net above we might hardly have known.
If you get the chance to stay there, do take it, you won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend (at the time - now husband) and I stayed at Coco Beach for 4 nights after a week in HCM city.
After a hellish 4 hour car ride from HCMC (takes this long although it's only about 180km!) we arrived at this beautiful resort. The bungalows were just gorgeous and quite private and situated so that all have a view of the lovely beach just out front. With a comfy bed, aircon, no TV and great (cheap!) little minibar we were set for a great few days of relaxation.
The restaurant on the beach was where we ate most of our meals - it has such an extensive menu we did not need to go anywhere else - and because the resort is just outside a fishing village, the seafood bbq each night was amazingly fresh!
Had a massage and manicure and pedicure (v. cheap!) and hired a motorbike for the day to explore the surrounding towns. We booked a tour to the Giant Lying Budda (in the brochure at the resort) which was great and our tour guides exceptionally friendly.
Having travelled extensively around the world, I believe the people in Vietnam are the friendliest and most accommodating people around.
On our last night there, my husband proposed to me after 6 years! He said he was waiting for the most romantic place he could find and thought the beach there at night was it! Maybe this makes my review biased but I would definately recommend Coco Beach for a relaxing and inexpensive holiday in rural vietnam.

The wooden beach houses were lovely with great balconies. The staff were great. The paradise beach restaurant was great especially at night looking over the sea. The pool and the gardens were lovely and the beach was the best kept along the strip. It was a great place to unwind after travelling around Cambodia and Vietnam. It could do with a bar that is open in the evenings othe rthan the sports bar.
