Stayed at the International Peace Hotel for a week in September. Overall, it is an ok hotel, but you can see that its bests days are behind it. We stayed in a suite, and it was very large with comfortable furniture, but like the rest of the hotel everything was fairly worn – from the rug, to the wall paper and fabric on the furniture. Nevertheless, the rooms and common areas were clean. The hotel did an excellent job with the daily laundry service and housekeeping. The bathrooms were modern and had all the amenities you would need. The staff at the hotel was courteous and the food (we just ate room service) was good. There is also a small business center where you can get access to the Internet. The hotel is inexpensive, so for what you get it is a good value. The only caution I would raise is that one side of the hotel faces a large intersection with a huge clock that is up about 15 stories and rings every hour starting at 6AM…Our room faced the clock and every morning it woke us up..every hour! The opposite side of the hotel overlooks a beautiful park and I would recommend requesting a park view room. Overall, this is a good hotel, in a safe area with most of the amenities you would need, just understand it shows its age.
