My husband and I spent a week at the Orsep Royal and had a most enjoyable time. The only drawback was the low ceiling in our room (613) and as my husband is tall he had to remember to duck each time he went the window side. All the staff were very helpful and we found the transport provided by the hotel to the airport very useful. The first night we requested two extra pillows and by the time we had had our evening meal the pillows were already in our room. The hotel was very central to everywhere we wanted to visit.
We found a really nice place to eat - Homemade Cafe in the main street, only a few minutes walk from the hotel. We enjoyed the food and company so much we decided to eat there every evening. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife who are very sociable and they have a great staff. It is very fascinating to watch the young lady making pancakes, which also taste very nice!
We would have no hesitation in staying at Orsep Royal Hotel again although we would request a different room.

After reading some of the mixed reviews from other travellers I was hesitant that perhaps this hotel would not come up to expectations . . . . . . I shouldn't have worried! There were six of us who travelled together to this hotel and being the organiser I was delighted with the choice. All of the sightseeing places were easily within walking distance. The reception staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful, contrary to some of the other reviews. The rooms were very clean and again the cleaning staff, as was the staff in general, very pleasant. All in all a very pleasurable experience and one visit which we will not forget in a hurry.

The first room they gave us had no windows other than on to the corridor(?). The room had few of the advertized facilities; no safe, no cupboard to put clothes in, very little space, no hairdryer.
We couldn't get the air conditioning to work and were told that it wasn't switched on at that time of the day. If you stay in this hotel, you definitely need the safe.
We got moved to a slightly larger room but only after an argument. Everything here seems to take an argument. We tried to borrow a cup so that we had something to drink from in the room but were told that we would be charged for borrowing the empty cup.
I wouldn't say that it was a western European standard hotel. It is one of the worst hotels that I have stayed at. I rarely give bad reviews to hotels but I feel absolutely compelled to in this instance.
