The room itself was very clean and well kept. Tthe hotel is very close to a busy highway and there was not much sound proofing. I do not consider myself to be a light sleeper by anymeans and to say the least I was up the majority of the night from road noise. Horrible nights sleep.
The breakfast is the morning was nothing special with very basic options and a small eating space. Overall, way too much money for what the hotel was.

I stay at the Inn on Long Lake several times a year for work, and shopping getaways. It is always clean and the Staff are so great. Willing and able to help you make taxi arrangements or suggest a new place for dinner. I enjoy the breakfast it has good variety. If you want a full hot one there are restaurants close by. Noise has never been a problem for me, the rooms enter off the parking lot then every one of them (at least that I have had over the years) overlooks Long Lake and the beach. An awesome setting!
I appreciate being close to the malls in North Nanaimo and parkway access is simple. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Nanaimo.

There was a boil water advisory for the city and I had to ask for complimentary water that was sitting on the floor behind the staff. The toilet was dirty at the base with hairs sticking to it and the bathtub had some nasty hairs in it as well

My family and I stayed at the Inn last Spring. The room was comfortable, clean and with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful in organizing day excursions in and around Nanaimo. We can't wait for our next visit!

I have been staying at this hotel for over 4 years, on a monthly basis. My work takes me to central Vancouver Island and this hotel is in the North end of Nanaimo; very convenient to get to malls and on to the main highway that takes you to the Northern part of the Island. It is always impeccably clean and the rooms are much larger than most hotels I stay in. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff always go out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I have my favourite room which I almost always get, but any room I have stayed in has a view of the lake. Makes it easy to forget that I'm there to work! I would advise others if they are looking for a stopping point on your way to the West Coast, or even a getaway for locals, to check it out. The breakfast is included and is one of the best I've seen.
