Stayed in the Confortel in December with my mum, my parents regularly go to Fuengirola, on average once a month, and they stay in all different hotels, the Miramar, PYR, Piramides etc.
This is by far the most modern and funky.
It is close to the train station, the stop before central Fuengirola.
You have to know where your walking to, but just head for the sea, as the hotel is on the front.
It has a very grand lobby, with bar in front. Lacking personality but definitely impressive.
The room we had was lovely, sea views, beautiful sunshine and in December...I think this helped!
The bathroom was big, all marble, very clean. No complaints.
In the bedroom, a good size, 2 single beds, sofa, TV etc. Nice size balcony.
The hotel is a little walk from the centre, but it is a nice walk along the promenade, and is nice to have a stroll in the day or work up an appetite.
We always got a taxi back at night, as it was quite quiet in December and no one around, bit unsafe for 2 women. Not that this part is unsafe, just that we are used to England and this was about midnight! taxi only cost maximum 5 euro.
Overall lovely hotel, clean, good hot breakfast. Restaurant has big glass windows, so you can have breakfast watching the sea and sunshine.
Plan to return again with my boyf in November. Is great place for a mini break!

Booked with xcapewithus for a short break in February. The weather was not kind to us but we had fun all the same. The wind was really bad and the noise of the wind kept me awake one particular evening but the receptionist were very helpful and provided me with another room. The rooms facing the beach were a decent size but the rooms on the opposite were slightly smaller but all were clean and comfortable with colour t.v. (only a couple of English of channels) lovely bathroom and minibar (expensive, but aren't they always, wherever in the world you go) Breakfast was good and enough to keep you going until lunchtime with the choice of cooked breakfast, eggs, sausage, bacon etc., cereals, fruit, yoghurt, rolls, bread, cheeses, juice, coffee, tea. Evening meals were taken at The Sandpiper which is 2 minutes away. Excellent food and colourful staff. 15-20 Euros for 2 courses for two people. Lunch was even cheaper and just as good. If travelling by train from Malaga airport take the train to Los Boliches and then you can walk to the hotel within 5 minutes and it costs under 2 Euros! Shopping was good. Just opposite Los Boliches train station is a big supermarket and department store selling everything from food and drink to designer clothers and shoes. Enjoy
