My husband and I stayed at this Riad during our 5 day break in Marrakech. The staff and service was impeccable. All the staff just couldn't do enough for us and took great care of us for our stay. The breakfasts were generous and the evening turn down service was accompanied by delicious morrocan pastries.
I was somewhat dissappointed though with the facilities at the Riad. The advertising was misleading as the 'pool' turned out to be more like an oversized water feature and there was not actually anywhere to sunbake by the pool. However, plenty of opportunity to sunbake on the roof.

Just got back from Riad Lydines. Lots of style and no substance. Booked massage and hammam for 'Valentine;s special.' Really inexpertly handled - think my masseuse was brand new and had no idea. Food very expensive and average. Room ok but dark and very very noisy at night. No sleep in 4 nights and got home wrecked. The staff would like to be very helpful but just don't have the experience. If asked where the locals eat, they point you at international expensive restaurants; if asked how we could change our flights (to get an earlier one) they couldn't do it so I just called BA in England and did it. If you are going to Marrakech you need to splash out on a really great riad to counteract the rest of the city.

The hotel offers trtips around Marrakech but at high prices and with false info. Thay do pretend that in one day its possible to go to the desert when actually Marrakech is at 7 hours drive from the desert. There are beautiful day trip around Marrakech but the cost should remain around 1200 to 1600 dirhams ( around ?200to ?250) not like 3200 dirhams , ? 500 as they do sell it . so beware.

We visited at Easter time. The Riad is situated about 15 mins walk from the main square, down a warren of lanes which is quite daunting the first time you do it late at night. One wonders if you will ever find the way back but you soon get used to it. The Riad is very pleasant, staff helpful and the rooms fine, it is just strange only having a small window into the atrium. The food is good but could offer more variety, there are two tagines, the one with chicken & olives or the one with lamb and prunes.
The main square is amazing all life is there but money changing can be difficult unless you go to the Hotel Ali which is just down from the main post office. We didn't think the tours were good value as the tour company couldn't organise a party in a brewery and the were very keen on tips!
In conclusion, fun to do for a short holiday once but we wouldn't go back.

This is a beautiful Riad, wonderfully refurbished in very simple but chic style. The staff were outstanding, nothing too much trouble, highly professional and caring. Very good network of contacts to point us in the right direction of restaurants and local information that is crucial to those new to Marrakech. We had dinner twice in the Riad and reckon they were two of the best meals we had. We cannot understand some of the negative reviews on this website - if you are looking for a genuine experience but with European sophistication then this Riad is for you. Cleanliness cannot be faulted. Re its location, yes it is a good 10 or 15 minutes walk to the square and souks, but we didn't see anything closer that came a patch on this one. Would most definitely stay there again.
