The hotel is well-located. It isn't in the city centre, but the Grand Place is 10 - 15 minutes walk and there's a metro right nearby. There's also more of the shopping & business areas close to the hotel. The rooms were small and slightly worn, but with good facilities (kitchenette, ironing, etc). Ours had a slightly unusual configuration with the toilet being in a separate area from the rest of the bathroom including the wash basin! The hotel has good facilities for longer-term travellers too, such as a laundry. Overall, I'd recommend it especially for business travellers on a budget, or for those on longer term stays...

I had a pleasure to stay here when on my last trip to Brussels. Previously I have visited Citadines St. Catherine, the one in London and few other in France. ALL of them provided top quality service and I would like to recommend them to anyone! Toison d'Or is located in a prefect spot for people trying to see as much as possible in least ime possible. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are amazing - all you need after all day of sightseeing. One way that could be inmroved is the view from the back of the building - it is onto another building and some roof tops but hey - it is a city centre after all! Also staff were very helpful, fluent English, good information about commuting and local attractions and msot of all very friendly.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen und durfte beim meinem letzten Brüsseltrip hier übernachten. Ich war vorher schon im Citadines St. Catherine in London und in ein paar anderen in Frankreich gewesen. Alle boten hervorragenden Service an und ich kann sie auch jedem empfehlen! Das Toison d’Or hat eine perfekte Lage für Leute, die soviel wie möglich in relativ kurzer Zeit sehen wollen. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber, die Betten super – perfekt nach einem langen Tag in der Stadt. Eine Sache hat mir dort nicht ganz so gut gefallen und zwar die Aussicht nach hinten raus, die auf ein andere Gebäude und ein paar Dächer war. Aber was soll’s, man ist dafür mitten in der Stadt! Das Personal war auch sehr hilfsbereit, sprach fließend Englisch, hat einem Tipps und Empfehlungen geben, was man sich alles ansehen sollte und wie man dahin kommt, vor allem war es aber sehr freundlich.

This is a modern "apartment style" hotel located close to downtown (15 minute walk to the Grand Place) in an upscale, safe neighborhood. 2 blocks to metro... many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Service was friendly and generally helpful, though daily maid service is not provided. Breakfast is expensive, but with a kitchen in the unit, buying a few groceries is an easy alternative. The bathroom was modern and very clean, but the rest of the unit was quite spartan and could use new carpet. The one bedroom units are real apartments, suitable for a family. The "studios" are basically just a hotel room with a mini kitchen. Please note that the only bed in the studios is the fold out couch. If the price is right, and you are not looking for old world charm, this is a good base for a visit to Brussels.
