I booked this hotel through trails.com. We were originally going to stay Friday and Saturday night. We had a family emergency and knew we would have to return home on Saturday night, so on Thursday, I was going to change the reservation to Friday night only, but the web site did not offer any way to change a reservation, only to cancel it. So, I canceled the original reservation on Thursday and reserved another room just for Friday night. The web site said there was a two day cancellation policy, but because I rebooked for Friday night, and Saturday was two days away, I assumed I would not be charged the penalty. WRONG!!! They said it did not matter that I rebooked, that because I "canceled" the reservation, I automatically incurred the penalty. Let's just say I won't be a repeat customer. I would have gladly paid the penalty for Friday night -- had we not stayed at all, but this was ridiculous. Also, the room was sweltering and the air conditioner took FOREVER to cool down the room. The wireless internet was not set up properly and I had to endure a warning message every 3 seconds that I was in conflict with another IP address on the network. The room was acceptably clean, but severely dated. I was trying to get a room close to my husband's conference, but next time, I will drive a few extra miles to receive better treatment!!!
