This hotel is lousy. My room has been increadibly tiny. Furniture is from the seventies and has been even cheap that time. Walls are as thin as paper, I heard every little noise from all people around and above me.
I did not sleep even with earplugs because it was so noisy.

This hotel is very small from the reception, the lift, the corridors and the bedrooms. It is undergoing some renovation to the outside so at the time of our stay in June 2007 it was covered in scaffolding.
There was just enough room in the twin bedded bedroom to open the door and throw yourself on the bed. Bathroom was in need of work with
water leaking in from the upstairs room. On the plus side the breakfast was the best part of it all. Generous, typically continental but lacking any fresh fruit so you pile on the calories with croissants, cheese, ham and jams. Staff were all polite and the hotel is in a quiet no through street very centrally placed. Its fine for those who want to be out all day visiting the sites but there are better two and three star hotels in the same street. The advertised room rate is far too high . Its only worth booking if the price is heavily discounted.

We stayed in this lovely small hotel for 3 nights.
All of us (6 people) were happy with the place. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable and the neighbourhood is safe and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet is quite small, but still good.
Hotel is located within walking distance from major attractions and shops, and there is a metro station just around the corner.
Would definitely stay there again, good value for money.

Just back from Paris June 06. Stayed at the Aston.
Room tiny, but clean, could do with some decorating. Lift tiny, will only hold one person, stairs and coridors very narrow. You have to actually close one door to open another.
Near to shops and metro just up street.
Breakfast usually continental, cheese, ham, cereal, juice, crossan bread, quite good.
Airconditioning good.
For personal comfort would not have stayed there had I Known how small it was
Staff polite!!!

This hotel ticked me off, for the mere fact that we were informed by our travel agent that breakfast was included when it really wasnt. Maybe fault lies in the travel agent but upon recieving the bill they charge 9 Euros a head for a makeshift breakfast. Please beware as different rooms might have it included but make sure beforehand.
Rooms are extremely small. Truthfully the smallest hotel room i have ever stayed in which includes my journey to Nice, Venice, Florence, and Rome after Paris. The previous reviewer said only one person can fit into the elevator when in fact we were able to fit two in with large luggage but then again we are not large people but do understand two people is the ultimate maximum with some clever positioning of luggage. The hotel is definitely not for larger people there is not way, as I 5'9 had trouble taking a shower as you simply cannot maneuver without a body part hitting the wall. Our room was even worse as it was on the 6th, top floor, where the slanted roof carved into a section of our room making it that much smaller.
It is true you have to check in your room key upon leaving the hotel which is not that big a deal. The staff we encountered was very friendly and informative of how to get to certain tourist sites. The location is awful in comparison to all the major tourists sites but the metro system is 2 minutes away which made it much easier. The airconditioning and heating system worked like a charm.
If you are okay with a small room stay here, please make sure you know if breakfast is included as the 9 euro charge per person is a bit steep for what is offered. The location is not great but metro is the way to go in Paris. I wouldnt mind staying closer but this was not all that bad.
